Basically you can’t hit the frets on the middle 40 strings so you can just hit an open string for the notes

Well that bass is kind of pointless in this context isn't it?

Love ZZ top, always have and always will, but that Bass guitar is crazy, standard 4 string Fender Jazz would have done just as a good a job.

What is the point of such bass guitar. One's fingers are only so big. You'll never reach the middle of the fret board.

I was one show away from seeing the full original lineup, Francis done an awesome job and the whole show in Corbin KY was awesome! I was looking up guitar lessons when I came across this video! Just an insane bass there, with an absolute great replacement for Dusty! Can't wait to see them again!

I cooked for these guys one night! One of them, and I can't remember who it was,, ordered the pork chops but he told the waitress to tell the chef ( me) that he wanted them burnt. And when I thought they were burnt enough, I was to burn them some more!! I was like, " Oh a challenge huh??!!. OK, I got you! "

So I took the chops and cut off a couple of big chunks of fat from the cap of our brisket, ( we were a smokehouse/bbq place) placed the fat over the chops and wrapped some strips of bacon around them. I cooked everything until the chops were done and then a poured some melted butter over them to get even more crisp char on them and sent it to the table. They looked like two bricks of charcoal they were so burned. He sent the waitress back and told her to tell me they were perfect!! I couldn't believe it because they were so burned up and charred, but he ate them. Definitely one of the strangest requests I ever had while cooking.

I came too see Elwood shred that guitar after seeing a picture of it and needless to say I am disappointed. The majority of that guitar is only for show.

Fortunately it is very light and easy on the back of the old man. Can practically mute all strings with a finger and, as a guitar tech, he can refret and change strings in like 20 minutes.

That's either the world's biggest guitar. Or the world's smallest stage
