"Sup guys, it's ya boi biggie cheese and we're back at it again with another let's play."
ОтветитьCan’t wait for the human equivalent
ОтветитьHarvard is just a collective of evil degens.
ОтветитьWhy did they put them in backrooms while they could create a map with purposes and treats like cheese 🧀
ОтветитьPut them in the minecraft world and play music "mice on Venus" and see what they are building
Ответитьthis video is 14 years old.
ОтветитьThank you Jeff Bezos for investing 15 million so the little mouse gets to zap through virtual reality every now and then
ОтветитьThe purpose of this study was to find out how the place cells in the hippocampus fire after visual stimuli telling the mouse to turn either left or right.
ОтветитьVideo would have been better if the mouse turned a corner and came face to face with a virtual cat...!
Ответитьputting a rat into vr game is not bad
putting a rat into a low poly windows xp maze is cruel
at least hire a better modeler
how tf did I get here...
ОтветитьThey should have lured him to a virtual cheese and then make a virtual cat jump out of nowhere and scare the virtual shit out of it.
ОтветитьIs anyone else stressed out that the mouse only walks in circles?
Ответитьlol ppl who saying shit like "OH THIS IS CRUEL" is fucking hypocrites
ОтветитьNo, no it's not. Electrodes are inserted into its skull, just like people get during similar procedures. The reason they start with mice is because they're simpler and easier to track the data.
ОтветитьWhat a terrifying visage.
ОтветитьThis kind of research investigates the behavior of neurons and helps cracking the cognitive code of the mammalian brain. This kind of research will help people with brain damage, replacing brain parts. Holy ignorance.
Ответить@pioupiou701 I commented on this soooo long ago haha! but yea :)
Ответить@theglobehopper actually, the scientists use this for a very clear cause. They used the virtual environment to explore the behavior of place neurons. Place neurons play a key role in mammals to determine their spatial location. They only fire during motion though. We do not have the tech to record from cells that are moving. The virtual environment allowed the cells to activate without actually moving so they could be studied. Research from this was published in Nature.
Ответить@BBQwatchman you know it's skull is chopped off right?
Ответитьpoor mouse ;'(
Ответитьthat is a big shit... STOP ANIMAL SLAVERY
ОтветитьГолова мыши удерживается в неподвижном состоянии держателями, которые в свою очередь содержат зонды, проникающие глубоко в мозг и считывающий информацию, эта мышь скорее всего бегает последние минуты
ОтветитьI agree with those below. Animal cruelty is rarely justified and this IS DEFINITELY NOT further any cause. The 'scientists' here should be reclassified as animal tormentors and be reported to the authorities

ОтветитьI hate what we do to animals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't care what it's for. And I'm a bachelor of science in psychology major...I am so disheartened every time I am asked to watch these injustices to the poor mice.
The Reward is cheese?
Ответить0:24-0:26 The mouse is on the ball still without falling off or being strained by the hooks in any way. This is incredible humane science, not abuse.
Ответитьhow ironic that a mouse is on a big ball mouse.
Ответитьsnake is slowly creeping from behind...
ОтветитьI don't understand these 'PETA' shitheads. Seriously!
Ответитьhaha
ОтветитьActually, there isn't. The reason they had to do that was because part of the device requires a direct connection to certain nerves, and that connection is broken by even very slight movement.
Ответитьi call it sense of humor.
ОтветитьThey locked his head in the device? I'm sure there is a better way to do that,,,,
ОтветитьWhy there is no weapon pickups?
ОтветитьIt was my first reaction. Many a rat went through mazes when I was at Yale. The intelligence of a rat is amazing by the way. However I got the distinct feeling that this experiment bordered on torture..
Ответитьpoor mouse doesnt know where to go XD
ОтветитьWhere can I download this map?
Ответитьand now ur being a fckn idiot ehhhhhhhh haha
ОтветитьYeah, that poor mouse will be terribly bored until they hook up quake to that display
ОтветитьIn the future, we will be playing games against a mice :)
ОтветитьCuuuuuuuuute!
ОтветитьCan it still make lefthand turns after they "connected up" it's brain? funky setup though... great to entertain guests.. try it with a dog next =] (and give it a gun and some cats to shoot)
ОтветитьIt look as if it fixed there
ОтветитьThis is more like a virtual ugly room than a maze.
ОтветитьPoor thing :/
ОтветитьI'm not bashing anyone's beliefs, I'm just saying that if they don't believe in the usefulness of science, they also should be denied the benefits of it, for they are actively stopping scientists from doing their work by ranting about "the morality".
Ответить
