You did this wrong.. the water will eventually go mouldy. I make these all the time as a dice maker and you need to add a bit of glycerin and some alcohol. (30-50 percent glycerin depending on effect and a few drops of alcohol don't need much to stop it going off) The glycerin will stop the mica settling to fast and the alcohol will stop the water going off. Also you can very much dome the top of the ball with UV resin..( but I only do that if it's going in a dice where it will be invisible) this is also the same solution for potion bottles.
ОтветитьWould it work with baby oil and mica?
ОтветитьTHANK YOU
ОтветитьOk let’s do globes not for Christmas and put a decorated magnet on the bottom and a metal topper they would have constant movement??
ОтветитьCool
ОтветитьYou can take the glass balls out of shampoo and hand soap and use them also.
ОтветитьExplore away wit different materials and techniques. We love 'em!
ОтветитьThe glass globes you have must be much bigger than the ones I got, because the top that comes with it looks HUGE on mine. It covers a lot more of the ball than I would like.
ОтветитьTotally amazing ! 🤩
ОтветитьWell Daniel, I’m in! You got me again!! Well done!!❤
ОтветитьI've been inspired to do something, just a little different. Don't get me wrong, i wouldn't have thought of it without seeing your video first. Thanks so much! I love your little snowy universes ❤
ОтветитьSo pretty and lovely idea! ❤
Ответитьno to water but yes to baby oil or something else more stable than water as it will eventually go green mate . but great idea especially for Christmas earrings or pendants 😉👌👊👍
Ответить8/0 seed beads may work instead of the ball bearings. Great idea as always. Will definitely try. Thanks!
ОтветитьNever tried these before. But I'm wondering if the resin might react with the glass and crack it with any change in temperature?
ОтветитьThat is really amazing! And it's just water and mica powder? So cool!
ОтветитьWow what an amazing effect 😮😊 Ty x
ОтветитьLove this idea. Thanks for sharing.
ОтветитьVery cute Daniel. I love the effects. Like you, I could watch it for hours. Thank you.
ОтветитьWOW….just WOW Daniel….amazing work again!!!
Ответитьyou could use a small bead, either clear or the colour of the fluid as a mixer
ОтветитьI have had these since I started doing resin projects
ОтветитьCute idea. I wonder if a tiny bit of alcohol ink would work? Little beads should work to help mix up the liquids.😍
Ответитьdrop an Orbie (orbee?) those tyhings that they call water balls or whatnot, into the water. it will swell up and bounce around but quietly.
ОтветитьLove these, they are mesmerising. You could also do something similar to those glitter sensory bottles you can make for kids which involves water, food colorant, glitter and baby oil.
Ответить❤
ОтветитьI absolutely love these! Thank you for your video..... Again!
ОтветитьExcellent video Daniel 🤗🤗🤗
ОтветитьVery cool technique!
ОтветитьSuper cute
ОтветитьGreat idea I must try it. I also tried the lotion idea and well lets just say im making 30 snow flake ornaments for my daughter's tree. Love your ideas.❤❤❤❤
ОтветитьSo Cute!!! ❤
Maybe add some colorful inclusions to give more visual interest when the mica settles.
They may even do what the ball bearings job! 👍 🤷
What a fun idea! They’re beautiful and absolutely mesmerizing. Love them ❤
ОтветитьThese are so cute, id never have thought of trying this. Oh and whoop whoop to the Essex lol
ОтветитьPerfect done Daniel! Purified water will last. Done it and last, been 12 years now.
ОтветитьWell you have given me an excuse to buy those glass balls. 😇 Those are beautiful. Other platform huh?
I noticed that effect in the opening shot.
I wonder how a glass seed bead would work instead of the ball bearing. I actually have metal BB's one tube has lasted years. Bought it for my nail gels and polishes that didn't cone with a mixer bead. That's it! They're called mixer beads. Just took me like 6 months to remember that.😅
This is so much fun. I think I need to make some for Christmas gifts (using glycerine and alcohol). I absolutely love it and it's so simple.
ОтветитьGorgeous! Loving the blue 💙
ОтветитьWow. This sounds like it could be complicated. Instead of uv resin, can you adhere the cap with super glue? I think it may be difficult to penetrate those caps with UV light.
ОтветитьOhhh, these are so cute, Daniel! Even I would wear these! I was thinking (uh, oh): a small, clear glass bead would be great. OR...if you can make super miniature things like trees, etc., just use glycerin, Iso Alc, and distilled water to make a "regular" snow globe! You could even make a snowy bed of mica mixed with UV resin to stand a tree (or whatever) in, then fill with the liquid.
I heard someone say that, when they make shakers or globes, the chunkier glitters work way better than the fine stuff.
Dan while these are cool they're going to go mouldy. Use alcohol and glycerine and you should be fine 😁👍. Tfs and have a great day 💖
Ответить😂😂😂😂😂
Ответить❤❤❤! I bet you could also use some of the clear or iridescent glass beads in place of the steel bearings.
ОтветитьI can’t find that mirrored lamp, I have foil on the bottom, back and sides, I also make a flap or type of cover for the front covered in foil….so it’s enclosed with a small turn table that turns from the uv lights…
ОтветитьAbsolutely fabulous, as usual Daniel! ❤️
ОтветитьI've got some flakey "glitter" that's a bit bigger than the larger flake you put in. Gave it a try, some sank pretty quick but some was slower. I think it's mylar, got it at a place that sells supplies largely for making nail polish. The matte white glitter shreds floated right away lol. I prefer irregular shaped flakes to hexagonal glitter, both for aesthetics and it comes off nails much easier than regular glitter.
ОтветитьGreat idea! I do something similar to make the skulls look like their brain is swirling. I do use distilled water and glycerin. They look so cool when you shake the skull!
ОтветитьGood on you, I love movement inside a sphere.
ОтветитьThese baubles are adorable..
N yes..
You sound like Jamie Oliver..😊❤ love the accent 😍
What if you coated some little tiny bits of Styrofoam in UV resin and dropped them in? Would it give the look of little snow balls maybe? And maybe coat them in a white sparkle this would remove the need for a bb being in it keep them moving and give a bigger snow effect.. just a thought you may want to try
