This is a great comparison, but I wish you'd add the GRX stuff, and the 105 series to your comparison, as things have changed a bit. Also kinda sad you don't mention anything about brake handles, hydraulic calipers, or rotors. :[
Ответитьam i the only one who thinks these "video snippets" are unneeded and not funny? really its an insult to somebodys intelligence to think that cr8p is gonna make anybody laugh. Why does everybody think its a good idea to copy that cancer. Only thing you achieve is that people are making a mental facepalm and quit the video.
Ответитьye
ОтветитьIt is most certainly true when you spend more money your wallet does get lighter
ОтветитьSo cheap... you are starting at 1000 on road groupset...
ОтветитьWhat the difference in weight between a 2x10 and 1x12 drive 🤔 ?
ОтветитьI like the XT for my money and would consider an XTR rear cassette for the weight difference. I want to upgrade my Shimano 1x11 with XT 1x12 eventually. I'm glad they offer so many different levels and love that you can mix and match.
ОтветитьThe full XT group set, like the 8100, is the best bet if you don't race IMHO
That said I would be totally fine with Deore
Can I use Shimano XT 8120 Crankset on a 1X setup? Vs the 8100? Accidentally bought the 8120 not knowing and wondering if I have to return it.
ОтветитьI ride BMX whch is Gear Less
But 2 Gear wil b Enough
1 for Slow Speed &
1 for High Speed
Will it fit a OZONE bike from Academy
ОтветитьWill a xt derailleur, xt shifter, slx cassette, slx chain, slx cranks, and xt bb work?
ОтветитьSlx with xt shifters
ОтветитьDo you have a similar video for sram?
ОтветитьWhich of these four drivetrains is best for uphill climbing?
ОтветитьSo what site do we find these setups at ???? Not Amazon cuz they don't sell these as a set ....
Ответитьis it actually worth getting 12 speed over say a 10 speed, if the 10 speed is working fine?
Ответитьshifter from the xt and the lid for the deore and u have less problems. the lid cost around 10 bucks only
Ответитьthe best mountain bike video ever 🙂
ОтветитьCan you put an xt shifter with an slx derailleur
ОтветитьAlthough the weight difference between slx and xt is small xt is far higher quality I've gone through 3 slx derailleurs in the past few years due to the pivot pins getting play in them
ОтветитьI've ridden them all and there is literally no difference in performance.
ОтветитьAmazing video. Please the technical parte when things are shown should be a bit slower, so we can see shat is actually moving.
ОтветитьShimano xt or sram gx 🤔
ОтветитьI have Deore and can down shift 2 gears at a time.
Ответитьdoes it come in a package at worldcycle as you describe here?
ОтветитьI ca't decide what better XT or GX?
ОтветитьAre there any carbon crank arms that are compatible with the Shimano chain rings?
ОтветитьThe older I think 2005-7 Deore XT 8 speed on a Trek 4500 doesn't double downshift.
ОтветитьI have xt on a bike, 2017 xx1 on another & gx axs on another.
Obvs the axs is a different feel altogether (though I had to buy the separate trigger before feeling right).
The xx1, even though 5 years old is a lovely smooth shifter.
The one thing I don't like about the xt is how "clunky" mechanical it feels in comparison to the other 2.
Nice video. Where can I purchase a complete setup?
ОтветитьYeah, I used to this 2 clicks per time on XT. And now on my SRAM I'm missing it )
ОтветитьHello, I'm from Brazil, and my dream is to have a bike like this, but I don't have the money to buy it, and neither does my mother, I just wanted you to send me one of these just to make my dream come true!
ОтветитьHow much gears does this bike have?
ОтветитьAmazing video. Very well put together and very VERY informative.
Thank you.
XT Shifters got also "Instant Release"
ОтветитьLove Deore it seems to have everything covered for the serious recreational rider.
The clutched RD-M5210 with the 11-42 ten speed cluster and ten speed Deore shifter is a fantastic bargain at the bottom end of the range.
For people that want a great value drivetrain with all the important features for a reasonable price, most of the Deore 12 speed M6100 groupset with a Deore XT shifter or shifters and XTR bearing jockey wheels on the Deore RD-M6100 rear derailleur will do the job. This drivetrain will get the job done for a great price....
Shimano rocks....😎👍
Tangible literally means feel. Lol
ОтветитьGreat vid. Thanks.
ОтветитьDamn insanley expensive while im here stuck with a 2014 deore groupset because of poverty
ОтветитьI am a bicycle nooooob and im actually looking for one of these groups for my recumbent. Probably the deore but, can I build my own crankset for it? Like a 2x? I need some road gears and also some climbing gears. Or am I able to pair a different 1x chainring? Like a 40 instead of that little thing it comes with?
ОтветитьQuestion- my SLX shifters have double clicks and they work? but they are not brand new 2020 21 22......
ОтветитьThat's awesome explained
ОтветитьI know I'm a little late to the party here, but I'm a bmxer looking to get an entry level hardtail mtb to fart around with. Not trying to spend more than $2k. Less than $2k, $1,200-1600 more what I'm hoping for.
Been researching lots of different completes, and most seem to either come with Sram SX, or Deore drivetrains. Been hearing a lot of "experts" talking mess about the SX line, but never never actually saying what they dislike about them. Most say "For the money, it should come with something better than the SX. Like maybe an NX or a Deore". Just gibberish if not explaining why one is bad and the other not.
My question is, how bad is the SX line? Would I be ok if the bike I settled on had an SX, or Deore? I'm 250lbs and don't plan on bombing any black diamond trails. Just want to zip around, hit some mild obstacles, and maybe a few moderate sized jumps now and then. I have bad spine problems so jumping isn't really my bag anymore.
SX or Deore?
Also hear a lot of flack against cheaper Tektro and Shimano brakes not having a lot of bite. But would they be ok for light to moderate riding without having to upgrade?
Sorry for asking such noob questions, but like I said, I'm coming from BMX, which I have all the knowledge I need, into MTB, which I'm still mostly clueless about.
Don't want to have to go upgrading parts too soon after buying a complete.
So to sum...
SX or Deore?
Lower end Tektro or Shimano?
And also...many lower end completes have a QR front wheel. Would be that be substantial enough, or do I spend a bit more and get a thru-axle type?
Hear decent feedback on the Rock Shox Recon forks, but those have a QR style dropout.
Thanks.
Thx for the realistic and honest overview! 👍🏻
ОтветитьI have Sram GX AXS with carbon cranks on my bike and Im swamping the whole setup over to my girlfriends bike. Then I got full XT on its way for my bike. Im really looking forward to trying out the XT because of the supposed amazing shift feel and incredible shifting under load🤞
ОтветитьNo way that price is worth the grams you save. $1000 no way.
