Loved them all but I think the tomato one might be my favorite! 😍
ОтветитьWow, my favourite!
ОтветитьWow nice recipe didi and nice sharing
ОтветитьThis dal 3 in 1 recipe is sure to come in handy be rain or shine. May I please request a khichudi recipe?
ОтветитьI just made it he tomato one and is so delicious, thank you! The garlic one will be next
ОтветитьThis was exactly the video I was hoping to find, to help me make an authentic Indian red dal tonight! Yum! I wasn't sure how much water to use, because your recipe doesn't say. I used 1 C dry lentils and 4 C water. I think next time I might use a little less water. I made the cumin dal, with coconut oil. My boyfriend says, "These lentils are really [bleeped] good!"
ОтветитьOk
ОтветитьCan we do red dal with Musturd seeds?
Ответитьi love this recipe 😍 Thanks again they are so quick and easy and delicious 😊👌😍
ОтветитьIt's that time again Bumbi. My favourite day of the week. I made the Tomato dal. It was so easy to make and tastes amazing. I have become completely addicted to dal now. (recipe 36) Thank you xxx
ОтветитьCombine all of these in one is the best
ОтветитьAmazing all the recipes three of them I will try the last one for tonight since I'm in love with onion and tomatoes
ОтветитьThank you so much for these wonderful recipes and such clear instructions. It is Saturday evening and I am off the make a Dahl.
ОтветитьI used to use the stove top but an becoming a fan of the instant pot... No more pot watching, clean up is easy (no more stove top spills,,oopsy ) it's faster and results so far have been very good. No one has yet said they won't eat their dal because it "wasn't authentic" because I used an IP...
Ответитьabout how long does it take until the lentils get tender boiling in the pot?
ОтветитьNot only were the receipes delicious but I really loved your sense of humour "no we are not doing burnt Dahl today" 🤣👍.

Can I use green lentils instead for this recipe?
ОтветитьI like the tomato dhal could I add some garlic slices into the onion mix before adding the tomato ?
ОтветитьIts lentil hand grinder
ОтветитьWe really enjoyed this. I tripled the dal and intended to make each recipe but I ran out of time and just made the cumin one. I was going to freeze some but it was so good we had it for two dinners and lunch and it's gone. I topped it with caramelized onions and DH was very pleased. I'm looking forward to trying all your vegan recipes and converting all the other ones to vegan as I'm able.
I've found a lot of websites and channels on Indian cooking but yours is the best. Your directions are straightforward and easy to follow and you take the time to put everything in the description-that's very helpful. It's very much appreciated.
Hi Bumbi. Very good simple ways to make dal. One tip I now use before cooking any dal is to boil in plain water to remove scum which helps prevent uric acid.
ОтветитьReally enjoyed your easy and simple steps.
ОтветитьYummy. I love your mouth-watering daal recipes. I am going to make the masoor dal recipe with garlic tonight for dinner. I can always go back to your 3 Easy Red Lentil daal recipes anytime I need to make a delicious healthy dal recipe.
ОтветитьBumbi can I blend the tomatoes instead of chopped 🤔
ОтветитьThat tomato dal …SO GOOD!
ОтветитьGreat clip, Bumbi. Sometimes people in Europe etc make dal to thick, like a porridge or worse. It should be like yours, almost like a soup and even mashed. That is how I remember it from south India and that is how I cook dal since then. The little masoor dal brothers are in my kitchen two times a week :-) Thank you. Bumbis with Curry rule!
ОтветитьA lovely and quick late dinner. I made garlic dal using fresh scapes in the tadka. I have never seen an Indian recipe using garlic scapes but I have dozens of them and I think that this must be authentic? Thank you!
ОтветитьDear Bumbi. Just a quick thank you. I just made the tomato dhal for my lunch. It tasted a million times better than what I was expecting. I'll will make again for sure. Maybe try the garlic dhal next time. All the best to you.
ОтветитьThis channel is amazing. Any dal i have made i simply boil. One time, I over-boiled them very badly. Instead of throwing them out I strained them, added cumin and pepper. It was a very aromatic and pleasing dip in this way
ОтветитьI always cook dal in pressure cooker. 😊🙏
ОтветитьI made the garlic dahl and also added garam masala to finish off. It was delicious and rated 10/10 in my household. I really appreciate the ease of making these dahl recipes and look forward to making the other variations. Thank you. PS. Comment has been made several times on your soothing, lovely tone of voice. :)
ОтветитьLove tham all thank you so very much 🌹🥰
ОтветитьThanks❤
ОтветитьYou’re excellent at voice overs! I’m making this for lunch tomorrow, can I put Baby spinach in it as well? ❤
ОтветитьThanks for the video, so many delicious options!
ОтветитьBut hold on, we are not done yet...thats where you got me Mme Bumbi. I had already used up all my coriander...omg the horror....But the 3 types of Dal were sensational. You have taught me a lot.
ОтветитьHello Madame 🤩 👌🙏 NAMASTE
Thank ❤❤ you for sharing your knowledge . We are use to very dense dal , I usually mix some corn sturch , we eat it with rice . Recently
my wife has bought an Indian made personal pressure cooker , one is black ( it took me hours to clean inside in order to get rid of smell of camphor , then cook for 2
that's all I could cook in it ) but the shiny one it can also work on those wave heat which it cause me bad headache . It is fun to cook with . I am going to try your style see how is it . Lamb meat are so expensive . We use to have lumb all the time which it was $ 3.95 per lb , not anymore ,$ 11.95 per lb .Thank you 🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤
Thank you!! We use our instant pot and it works great.
ОтветитьSoo good
ОтветитьBrown sugar and jaggery... Makes me feel so good!😊
ОтветитьBeautiful voice
ОтветитьNowwwwww 😁😁😁😁👍thatssss what I’m talking about,,,,,SLOW COOKING,,,,, it MATTERS!🙏🏻😁😁😁😁
ОтветитьI had leftover rice so I made the tomato dal for my lunch today. So good! I can't wait to try this again in tomato season. Thanks again!
ОтветитьAnother amazing recipe! I love things like this — a basic idea with twists! Made mine in three instant pot. Simple. And was patient with the onions. SO TASTY! This is definitely going into the rotation. 😋
And kudos for doing it all yourself Bumbi! You are a rock star!
Finally! Thank you! Dal means lentils. There are many indian lentls recipes. What I know as curry lentils is musur. The lentils must be cooked before being added to the spices and tomatoes mix. We can make as much or as litle curry as we want depending on how much cooked lentils we add. Trying different flavour dishes becames easy this way. And to finish add infused oil on top. I had an idea of curry but the recipe that I learnt from was chicken by a korean person. Well explained and delicious but when I tried to do it with lentils, didn't work. I used raw lentils and a huge amount. It was bland and crunchy.
Ok, not bland bland but bland compared to what a curry should be.
Thanks for sharing 🇺🇸
ОтветитьLooks extremely loose.
Yum 🤤
🙏
ОтветитьThese are real classics that are super tasty and that I make again and again. 👌🙂🥰Super easy and super tasty! Highly recommended for all!👌👌👌
