I died from dysentery watching this.
ОтветитьLode Runner was a favorite of mine for the Apple IIe. The other was "Odyssey : The Compleat Apventure"
ОтветитьI wish Apple can make an Apple II Mini that includes these games and is powered by the same lightning cable used to charge the iPhone 5 and up.
ОтветитьNo Legacy of the Ancients? WHAT?! That game was amazing!
ОтветитьWere these games originally written for apple II?
ОтветитьYou've got to have Lemonade and Brick Out on that list. I'd have found a place for Scott Adams' Adventures, Mystery House, and Odyssey: The Compleat Apventure too - I loved that game (even if it required Integer Basic)
ОтветитьOMG, lovely!
So much souvenirs... And so many hours playing at Space Invaders and Galaxian, Breakout, Lode Runner, Pac-Man and Gobbler, Space Eggs, Panic, Sargon Chess, Anti-Ballistic Missile (ABM), Bolo Tank, Crossfire, Zaxxon, Olympic Decathlon, DigDug, Rasterblaster Pinball and Pinball Construction Set, ...
Word Muncher, Bolo, NetTrek
Ответитьoregon trail was sick
ОтветитьAztec! Jumpman! Mindwheel! The text / pic adventures from Sirius!! Spare Change! Prisoner II! You gotta shove those into your list, somehow.
ОтветитьGreat comments here. Miner 2049er was a big one for me as well.
ОтветитьLove this video. So many great memories.
ОтветитьThere NEEDS to be an Apple II mini.
Ответить:D Karateka! :D
ОтветитьHow can you not have The Colossal Cave or Zork on there? damn...
ОтветитьMoon Patrol and Conan were great.... Mystery House as well
Ответитьyou forgot conan and hard hat mac :P
ОтветитьAncient Art of War
ОтветитьAll great games, played alot of them on my atari 800xl
ОтветитьStar Blazer was good too. I never owned an Apple II but I was obsessed with Wizardry after playing it at a friend's house.
ОтветитьAh those were the days. I mean, I'm glad for the progress, but these games bring back some pretty sweet memories
ОтветитьMystery house, Time Zone
ОтветитьBack then listening to Def Leppard Pyromania album while playing Ultima II. Sure was a heck of a lot of fun.
ОтветитьI had forgotten about so many of these games. Castle Wolfenstein was my first. Aquatron was a lot of fun too.
ОтветитьWe had one Apple II in the school library and I remember 10 of us crowded around this one game, I think it was called "Sherwood Forest" or something (it was an early graphic adventure game), trying to solve the darn thing. Some of the solutions were quite silly, but it was our first taste of what was to come in the following years.
ОтветитьFirst time I saw Ultima 3 was at a friend’s house. Wow, memories. My brother loved Wizardry. My first real dungeon crawler was Adventure the Atari 2600 and King’s Quest, Zork II and Bard’s Tale
ОтветитьAnyone know Taipan! ? I prefer it on Android actually but, man its good
ОтветитьSong name please
ОтветитьWere all the Apple II games this sluggish or is it due to the way they were captured in this video?
ОтветитьTwo games for the Apple II I really remember are Night Mission Pinball and a Choplifter-like game called "Rescue Raiders," which I actually enjoyed more than Choplifter since it let you deploy AA vehicles, tanks, and troops.
ОтветитьI immediately stopped watching when I saw the 1986 remake of Ultima instead of the original, which is truly the version that defined the Apple way back in 1980.
ОтветитьThe hokey music has to go. Lol 👍
ОтветитьAztec, Ultima ][/III, Kabul Spy, Sherwood Forest, Sea Dragon, Tax Man, Castle Wolfenstein, Swashbuckler…and so many cracked games back in the day!
ОтветитьConan was my favourite, as well as karateka and load runner. We also had load runner champion edition. It was really hard
ОтветитьI probably would have added Transylvania Penguin Software. Drol by Broderbund. Music Construction Set (especially with a Mockingboard) Sammy Lightfoot by Sierra -- there are so many good ones to count....
ОтветитьHere to ask for the song name again. I won't stop
ОтветитьI didn't know Wolfenstein or California Games was made for the Apple II. Cool
ОтветитьArchon better than battle chess
ОтветитьTime zone! Remember this one!
ОтветитьTo bad most schools never got these games
Just the educational one's.
I would have love to play these.
Half of em I did.
Song name?
ОтветитьPrince Of Persia with its smoothness realistic-looking animation and gameplay were definitely miles ahead in its time
ОтветитьMajor nostalgia bomb just seeing the 'Cracked by...' on the title screens
ОтветитьThese are cool picks. I'd include Spy vs. Spy, Autoduel, Zork.
ОтветитьI'm not sure I agree that Impossible Mission defined the Apple II.
ОтветитьLode Runner is one of the must addictive games I've ever played. I still play it on the vic20.
ОтветитьDude!...ha-em!... ever heard of ar-effing-tillery (artillery)????!!! Ever heard of choplifter???!!!
ОтветитьDoes anybody know about the problem ive got with my iie real hardware displaying colours - same prgs shown here seem to be - kind of - monochrome and "striped", not some kind of hires, but only colourless with creepy stripes instead of colourfilled graphics?
Ответитьand not a Drol in sight
