I can understand the hate for the chalice dungeons in bloodborne, but I personally liked them. I think they'd probably be just as boring as it was for you if it wasn't for the fact that I was listening to creepypastas while playing them. Was a real mood

funny part is Zanny praising bonfires before boss fights but DS2 has the some of the WORST run backs in Soulsbourne games

DS2 is beautiful and has a great story and cool bosses,…. But the run backs, the hitboxes, and the annoying lock on is just… horrendous. And did I mention the run backs….
Black gulch poison shooting assholes, and iron king smelty 2.0 run backs both are the absolute worst. Like most of the bosses aren’t too difficult… but the run backs…

Dark souls 2 has bad physics and everything after has overly restricted pvp that ruins the multi player aspects of the game. Like brackets for each weapon lv so when the popularity of the game goes down you can't find fights. For example even though people are playing ds3 it is nearly impossible to get a fight or even co op. Which is probably a part of there development strat to sell more games, but I am disappointed in fromsoftware for the first time in the 20 years I have been a die hard fan of there games.

It's ok on its own, it's garbage when compared to the other games.

DS2 is great. I'm playing it now and it's still fun. I just wish coop with friends was like elden ring and adaptability stat can still go to hell, having to pump that crap to 20-32 to have proper iframes and not take ten years to drink estus 😢😂

This game really sets you up to beat any other souls with relative ease. Not even worst Elden Ring Areas can compare to how tough many encounters are in DS2. It allso has more delayed attacks than DS3 or DS1, with random chancce to trigger earlier or later, not as strong as Elden Ring, but it is a good warm up.

Dark Souls II only got a bad reputation basically because of a single idiot who didn't understand what adaptability is. Imagine if Cuphead was considered a trash game because of that one game journalist who couldn't beat the fucking tutorial. That didn't happen of course since there was video proof of his failed attempt. However, when DSII came out, people generally trusted game reviewers opinions, causing it to receive tons of blind negativity.

Ds2 is my favorite in the series.

The first time I played Dark Souls II I hated it because it was too hard. Now that I've played it a couple of times I love it. (except the hitboxes and that green level with the poison arrows)

After playing this game for the first time I can genuinely say this is my least favourite game of all time. I found no enjoyment I have genuinely never been so miserable playing a video game.

DS2 isn't terrible, it's just painfully mid compared to From's other games.

I have a few hundred hours of this across xbox, playstation and pc, and I never noticed dukes dear freyja had 2 heads wtf, and I always use a bonfire aesthetic on that boss after the first kill so I can get the extra ng+ items

I'm just finishing it as last soulsbourne game on my list and it's not a good game. world design is nonexistent and level design is dubious at best. far cry from other titles.

When i played the trilogy for the first time after playing demon souls i never knew the hate dark souls 2 had until after i finished the trilogy. Crazy thing was naturally dark souls 2 was naturally my favorite.

I went into DS2 not knowing of its flaws. The mechanics weren't too bad, but the lack of soul in the level design of DS2 is a stark contrast to the more realized world of DS1.

The only thing that stinks is your weapon and armor durability are awful

It's not a bad game. It's just a very bad Dark Souls.
