Would you recommend staying on Merrimon Avenue in a airbnb for a few months to get the feel for asheville?
ОтветитьI knew West Asheville was gonna be on here 😂
ОтветитьI’m an piedmont triad native can you please do a video about Asheville nc elevation please great video I love how you explains this
ОтветитьVery informative,thanks!
ОтветитьI live in Asheville area. I like all the surrounding areas much better for everyday living. Like areas where nasty women don’t walk around high and naked protesting for women’s “rights”. I’ll stick to Haywood county for living
Ответитьstay out of montford. my cat is from the streets and he’s lived here longer than most everyone….he’s hard as a rock pile. clive (aka the weezer because he has asthma) runs this hood so if you see him avoid at all costs or pay him off w treats in perpetuity. you’ve been warned
ОтветитьSo I guess my question is how does this city stack up against others like Seattle or Portland? So far my take away is that it’s artsy, weird, liberal, and has some crime and homelessness. Is this as bad as the extent of it in Portland? Living there I’ve found whole parking lots full of needles as if a truck just dumped some off, a mile or more of homeless encampments, and individuals so staunch in their beliefs there’s riots. Is this happening in Asheville?
ОтветитьTy this was a big help
ОтветитьTrust me, I been to West Asheville many times. True its on the weird side, but that is what makes Asheville, Asheville. From NYC, Asheville is tame by comparison.
ОтветитьMills River sounds...well, lame. ;-)
ОтветитьThank you for this video!
ОтветитьYou are forgetting the up sera in crime.
Ответитьwhich Asheville neighborhoods are near bus lines and are safe, but have relatively affordable rents?
ОтветитьThank former Mayor Lenny Sitnick for the homeless problem.
ОтветитьMy hometown I live in East Asheville by the VA hospital all these places in this video are definitely weird
ОтветитьObviously no one is avoiding West Asheville . Its the hottest Real Estate Market in Asheville.
ОтветитьLol at your thumbnail
ОтветитьStay out of downtown Asheville! It’s gotten very dangerous. Not a place you want to visit.
Drugs and needles litter the streets.
I have lived in Asheville and the surrounding west side since 1977. I have definitely seen the Ups and downs of my beloved town.
ОтветитьI'm here on hiker holliday,,,drove around most of the day getting a feel of things. In my travels, I have noticed that all cities/ towns in the US are all starting to look the same and become the same place,
ОтветитьNo offense but I'd say put Candler and Weaverville in place of West Asheville and Swannanoa. Candler and Weaverville are like Mills River- those areas are where you start to see the red side of North Carolina.
ОтветитьWest Asheville and Riverside drive makes me nuts with the bike riders that think they own the road. Just 2 days go was a guy on a bike with a pool noodle sticking out from bike so you could not pass him 🤬 he was wearing a sign on his back, but I could not read it. I work from that area otherwise I avoid it.
ОтветитьWe used to call it Ashevegas and the San Francisco of the South.
ОтветитьI lived in Asheville from '92 till '00. I spent my 20's there as a Miami transplant. I fell in love. I was able to live in downtown with all my hippie friends. Asheville has changed and it is sad. Oh well, I still had the best time of my life there. I will always love ASHEVILLE.
ОтветитьLove how you deliver your insights in such a positive manner! I thought I wanted to live in West AVL or downtown & I’m soooo glad I ended up in a quieter area. This vid is on point ❤❤❤
ОтветитьI have been to Asheville a couple of times and love it. Plan on relocating from NJ by the end of the year by way of NYC. Enjoy most of your videos but this one is a disservice. Nothing you described is particularly a threat or risky. The fact that some areas are crowded is nothing to be alarmed about -- most places with something to offer attract a lot of people for entertainment, cultural appreciation, etc. Instead of instructing people to avoid these places describe what they offer against a personality type or what someone is looking for entertainment-wise or socially. Also, nothing wrong with planned communities. I plan on buying a home in one.
ОтветитьThanks for your input, compared to California (where we came from) Asheville still the “best”! There’s nothing I see so far (for 2 years living here) any bad vibes! We still love ❤️ this place , sorry if I’m interjecting opposite from your views. Less crime & homelessness.
ОтветитьNothing like watching a real estate person dump on the place you call home. BOOOOOOOO
