The absolute best video on outpost building I’ve seen. This aspect was so confusing to me and difficult to understand and I feel so much better about it because of this video. Immediate sub. I’m sure it takes quite a bit to make a video like this and just wanted to let you know it’s appreciated. Thank you.

Surely if the transfer container is outputting to the 'outgoing' cargo link, then you output the 'incoming' back into the transfer container. Then you are creating a triangle to which everything incoming goes back to the outgoing cargo link??

I found a spot on Andraphon where I can mine Aluminum, Europium, and Helium-3 all in the same outpost territory 😄

so, you create different mining outpost in a same solar system(without the perk) and then send everything to the main outpost?

Nothing about this game is intergalactic. You meant intersystem. Great video! You made something really complicated seem simple. Thumbs up

I found it helpful to have a base just for helium3 so you can maximize power output for all your other bases. (Best for intergalatic supply lines)

You know - this is where BETHESDA fails with their own recipe. You know how easy it is to explain this in a library archive or video format INSIDE THE GAME under help option. You know, like MOST games have. But nope Not Bethesda, always doing things upside down.

Can you go from the extractor to a transfer container and skip the storage container?

So I built a transfer container, and I went back to my ship and for some reason the option to gather the supplies from the transfer container isn't appearing.

When I try to build an interstellar cargo link it says the thing needs to be powered by Helium. Not every planet has Helium next to the resource I actually want. So how do we deal with that?

I don't understand.
What is a Supply Route though?

Is that bringing things from other Outposts to this 1 area?
So you can link numerous Outposts together?

So is the idea to make a one stop place in a solar system to grab all your shit from?

You can't link solar systems together?

Did this Outpost that showed up in your inventory when you was in your ship, can you just grab stuff from that Outpost into your own inventory?
Or can you use those items when crafting like you can use them from your Ship's inventory to craft?
Or do you have to physically go transfer it all to you & then to your ship etc?
Do you have to be on the planet or in that solar system to see it or do you automatically just see all your Outposts listed in your inventory?

Can you make a shit-ton of storage containers linked together so you can only show up every now & then & grab a lot of stuff?

BIG TIP
when choosing a specific number of items, you can increase/decrease the slider faster by using the Left/Right bumper

you realize that you don't have to wire up individual things in the colony they power the entire area or so i've found. i was wondering though what the point of wiring them up was. i think that might be fixed to where you have to wire things up because you had to in fallout as well. so maybe it is a bug that i dont' need to come to think about it. lol

Love your vids. Just a tip if you just pull out an outpost it will show all resources in its range so instead of scanning you can just roam with the outpost and it will show all the resources in its range. I found a site with 4 resources on it with one being extremely rare. Love your vids tho.

Something you could add as a quality of life improvement to it is how to expand the amount of storage of the transfer storage so it can have a lot more space to hold all 4 resources

I've been searching and searching for an answer to how to do a supply mission. My first mission is "Supply Tungsten [W] to Jemison, Alpha Centauri. I set up one outpost on Alpha Centauri and I appear to have linked it to Jemison. But I have no idea how to supply 230 Tungsten to Jemison, which is the next step.

I found one planet with Tungsten but the climate/environment is too hostile for my Outpost building skill level.

So when we set up an outpost we can only extract the resources in the immediate are? Would I need multiple outposts to get all the resources of the planet? Trying to find the perfect spot to set up my outpost on Jemison to try and maximize my resources output from my outpost

I am trying to do a quest related to cargo links to sydonia and thanks to you i figured how to do it but now the link for the quest is missing i even put 2 cargo links in same outpost so that one cargo links gets the materials and the other one would send it for the quest but now the option for the quest is gone (i already tried restarting but that didn't fix it)

I could use some help... I can't figure this out... I've got both outposts made, with extractors, storage containers, transfer containers, cargo links in both.

The resources are filling into the transfer containers. In one outpost I've got the transfer container connected with an output link to the Outgoing bin on the cargo link. But the cargo link bin never fills up. The resources get to the transfer container and stay there.... so my link breaks there.

I've got the two outposts links in the Cargo Link control panels... I have transport ships flying and landing at both ends... but because my outgoing bin never gets anything inside it, nothing actually transports.

How about multiple bases? Do you have to build a pair of cargo links for each so your main base would end up having 18 cargo links in total if using a spoke configuration?

MAybe im bugging but jut correct me anything cause i feel like i did the same and it wasnt working for me. So you have connected everything to the transfer container than tht to the incoming and outgoing to 1 trade line. When i did it it wasnt getting all the supply from the route or it was coming out split like i have a total of 4 but 2 was going off to 1 planet and 2 to another should i just connect everything together or split things up? Cause ove considered trying that.
