What a pointless over length vid! Qled if priced well, it’s bright. If you like good blacks, Oled, or Dled, as cheaper than Oled.

I am finally moving up from a older Samsung Plasma 720p 50" TV (Which btw I always loved - but need 2 people to lift it and it cost $2500 back then !!!), to something newer and bigger with higher resolution. Every time we go to Costco, I drool at the UHD huge TV's on display and my wife says "now now - as soon as ours breaks we can get one". Well I may not live that long !! 😂🤣😕 So I am ready to get a LED, QLED, OLED, or whatever !!! This video was very informative and I have watched several with side by side comparisons. From what I have seen QLED is the brightest of the bunch !! I like that, and it seems I can get that in a 65" for under $1000. I have one question for my internet people. A guy in PC Richards (who I disliked from the start - so pushy!!!) said that the QLED and OLED don't have the streaming lag on Netflix (and other streaming services) that LED has. I think that was BS, and it all depends on your router. I would love to hear your comments on that statement !!! TY TY

I only upgraded to a Sony LED TV in 2018 after my 2006 21" LG Flatron CRT TV broke down and I still wanted it repaired. 😂😂😂

As someone who spend over an 1hr at Best buy comparing and looking at both QLED vs LED side by side. I recommend to go for the QLED. The image on the LED is a bit washed out compared to QLED. Think of LED kind of like a projector. QLED is amazing. And OLED is even better. Remember price says it all ❤😊

And still many of the budget qled TVs has more blooming / backlight bleed than Samsung crystal uhd. With black level actually being deeper on the crystal uhd in daylight. Color accuracy and peak brighness maybe better on most qled TV.

Haven't upgraded my 32" LG TV from 2007 up until this year. I watched this video last year and made up my mind to upgrade to a QLED tech (just to have a taste of new tech) It's been a week since I purchased my TCL 75" C735 with 144hz refresh rate, I do really felt the upgrade and it made my a PS5 too for me to use the TV's feature hahaha! Overall Evaluation for the QLED upgrade: Definitely worth it.

What's the QLED counterpart of LG for this?

You'll notice the 2023 sets have dropped the ATSC 3.0 tuners, compared to sets a year or two ago on OLED TV's. If you are in a market with ASTC 3.0 (meaning you will be able to receive free 4k TV from your local TV stations using an antenna), then you want an ATSC 3.0 set. But now, they've made that a premium feature for top-models.

We prefer KY QLED

Not all qled TVs are brighter than led TVs. Different panel types affect the quality aswell. My 8 year old Samsung TV is a lot brighter and has better colour accuracy than my qled TV. I think picture quality is actually getting worse on modern TVs. I'm not a fan of HDR content either. Colours are better and images are brighter on SDR. Although HDR content is sharper I much prefer SDR.

Buying any TV that isn't a flagship or an OLED is basically impossible since it's so hard to find the actual specs. Especially if you're European. Since Rtings doesn't care about the European market.

Don't even mention local dimming. 90% of TV's don't have it and you will never know if it does because the manufacturer doesn't list it in their specs.

I think it’s important to realize there are big differences between one LED and another. So looking at a high quality LED 4k tv and a budget QLED tv, you might not see a huge difference. But you will see that difference between a cheap Walmart brand LED tv and an expensive say Sony or Samsung QLED. Just keep an eye on sales and take into consideration review sites like rtings or something that do a lot of comparisons

You can only tell the difference on HDR. QLED is way better with HDR.

I use a 4k pc on my LG 75 inch LED!
I surf the net a lot, so OLED wasn't even an option for me!
I watch movies, streaming, stored and blu-ray. I play a lot of games in 4k too...

You made THE most sensible comments for the average consumer; Your chosen 4k LED 'WILL' look amazing when you don't compare it to OLED or brand new tech (Which a lot of people can't afford)

I prefer my 75 inch LED to my friend's 55 inch OLED...
4k is simply breathtaking on that scale!

I had a QLED TCL that i had to take back because it was software faulty, replaced it with a LED Sony Bravia but the TCL picture quality was 10 fold better,,, watching shows like Stanger Things

I just switched to Ting. Number porting was not automatic, but it was easy to set up and worked after just a couple of minutes.

One thing though, it's not the quantum dots that result in better blacks, it's the local dimming zones.
