Abkhazia - the country that doesn't exist - according to many. But I promise you Abkhazia does exist. I had the privilege of visiting the Republic of Abkhazia (Абхазия) and saw so much in 24 hours.
From Stalin's Dacha, the Gagra Colonnades, exploring and abandoned Palace of Culture, Pitsunda (Khruschevs favorite resort), Honey tasting (with some wine and Chacha), the famous Blue Lake followed by the even more famous Lake Ritsa, the 1000 year old Lykhny Church and the Lykhny ruins, eating Mamaliga which is Abkhazian National Dish, visiting New Athos and walking along the Alley of Sinners, riding a train deep into the New Athos Caves and spelunking underground, finally finishing at Shato Bambora winery with a degustation of wine and cheese.

Sounds like a day you wouldn't want to miss! Abkhazia is an amazing place to visit! An autonomous republic along the Black Sea, the people were warn, welcoming and happy. It was the highlight of my trip, can't wait to go back.
