In my experience, killing a 3 star animal even with the perfect weapon and ammo choice and dead eye can still lead to a not perfect kill and can lower the animal quality. I have been lassoing animals that you can lasso and killing them by hand. It keeps rheir 3 star status so you dont risk it trying to get the perfect kill shot.

Number 10 tips, DONT always use dead eye, it will feel like cheating autoaim. With infinite deadeye tonics u basicly cant die due to max payne's bullet time mixed with csgo autoaim.
Ok I saw the box at camp but I didnt see u can upgrade the camp next to it

I have seen a lot of videos that say that you can only fast travel from camp, this is not true . you can fast travel from anywhere that you can set up a fire.

Once you have fast travel, you can use it anytime, anywhere. Just set up a camp & it shows in the list. You don't need to go back to camp to use it

I’ve had about 4 horses die and only once was I able to revive it with the tonic. I swear they get headshots or something because they just drop dead and all it shows on the map is my saddle.

I was suspecting the jewelry thing... It's really really stupid that it's like this for talismans and trinkets but the trapper works the other way around...
Edit: Oh right, and you can get a secondary holster before breaking that cunt out of jail. Just complete a challenge, I had the Master Hunter off-hand holster well before I, extremely begrudgingly, freed that POS. God I wish you could just but a bullet between his eyes right after he flips the table and burns Sadie's house down...

Good video. One thing is the fence. You don’t have to do anything to unlock the fence in/right outside of Rhodes. Just go to it. In my recent play through I would get a few gold bars and sell them there early in chapter 2 so that I wasn’t broke lol

Arthurs death and micah being a rat got spoiled to me at like chapter1

You know you don't technically have to go through the game to get the fence you can just go to the one in roads whenever you have stolen goods

You do not have to go back to your camp to fast travel You can fast travel from fire campsite anytime you want You don't have to go all the way back to your main camp

If you do Sean's mission and have the spring field you can get the bolt action early for sure

I disagree with the number one, it's better to try a lot of horses then ride only one horse. U need custom panther or alligator saddle(snake saddle nice too but it's hard to get) it's a fact cuz with it any horse become the best in the game

So when you buy Arthur's lodging upgrade, if you set up camp in the wilderness you have the option to fast travel from there.

You can fast travel between towns by camping > fast travel. You certainly don’t have to go back to camp each time you want to travel to a different town 😂

The only thing that really gets me in this game is when your horse dies and then you die without saving your horse. It is just horrible that it can just instantly die and never a chance to revive it. Lost a couple horses this way.

when you have the map in camp you can fast travel from any camp you setup in the wild

You can get a second holster from the trapper after about the 2nd level of Master Hunter. LONG before the mission rescuing Micah.

Wrong on fast travel.
Once you have fast travel, you can use it from ANY camp site.
But getting fast travel early in the game takes away a lot of the fun exploring and discovering. And traveling is when I do most of my hunting.

You actually don't need to unlock the fence through story, only the emerald ranch fence is locked by missions, saint denis, rhodes and van horn fences are open for business from the beginning of chapter 2, also you can unlock the offhand holster from challenges, more specifically the master hunter offhand holster, which you can buy from the trapper after skinning 3 deer.

The game does teach u the over the shoulder switch. Its on the first train robbery at the start of the game.

Actually you can use the fence in Rhodes or Saint Denis, and you can do challenges to unlock the cross hand holster, so you don't need to race through story missions

You can fast travel from your wilderness camp now. Making getting back to the main camp easier when you’re miles away.

Pro tip, as soon as your horse gets injured, just close game. Horse will come back if game didn't save

I can't emphasize the hunting aspect enough. All the cool upgrades to the camp should be taken care of as you go through the game. When you get to the last chapter and realize you want to get some cool stuff for the camp (like bear skinned rugs) but have to travel cross-country for the hunt, it makes you realize how much you screwed up.

Some other things:

1) Get the red Arabian horse right away

2) Don't carry a ton of food or supplies. Hunt when you really need meat. You're better off carry medicines with combo of liquors and cigars. You want to be able to harvest as much as possible from your 3-star kills.

3) Eat regularly. Skinny Arthur's mechanics is not as robust as normal Arthur.

4) For every mission, let's say each one takes an hour to keep things simple, you need to spend at least 3 hours roaming and doing random missions. The rest of the world is so vast that going mission heavy will leaving you missing out on basically 75% of the game.

5) TAKE YOUR TIME. Try to Gold missions. Try to different tricks. Try different weapons. You shouldn't really have too many favorite methods, or routine ways of playing, until you reach chapter 5. That's when it should get super fluid and fun for you, leaving you chapter 5 & 6, and the Epilogues, to go crazy.

Unlock the whole map first, get all of the secret masks and hats, and unlock fast travel
