This is one of my favorite sequences in any game I’ve ever played.
ОтветитьI just finished this boss fight today. From a narrative and character arc point of view it was amazing especially with the Chainsaw guy, because we only run from him in the first game and don't fight him head on and hence it brought closure. So that was just amazing, and the other 2 though not needed were still great as throwbacks and Seb overcoming his fears.
Now, from a boss fight point of view as they traditionally tend to go down this is the second disappointing boss fight in the game out of 2. It wasn't really hard and did not use much ammo either. It was fairly easy and definitely easier than Stefano who himself was okay in terms of difficulty. But then again as some people have mentioned that Sebastian is the nightmare in STEM this time. Though I don't completely agree with that theory, I understand the perspective keeping the games events in mind.
Whatever it is I have enjoyed the game on a whole so far out and I think it is definitely worth playing if you liked the first one and I can't wait to continue it tomorrow or the day-after.
This felt like a movie to me when I play it love this game
ОтветитьBut when he shot at Laura I automatically assumed this guy didn’t play the first TEW☠️
ОтветитьBetween this dude and Ethan idk who’s more bad ass🤷🏽♂️☠️
ОтветитьFor all intents an purposes that’s Dave Chapelle, one of the lead members of the Sadist (Satanist) cultural organization. Though he is actually remarkably not powerful inter dimensionally he does hold a major role in the actual real world organization.
ОтветитьSebastian sir, you need therapy
ОтветитьI used to be afraid of you.
*Reloads shotgun.
Things change.
I came here because i had to relive Sebastián conquering his fears and truamas. Because we have too and we will again.
Ответить"I am not in danger, I AM THE DANGER!"
ОтветитьBest Boss Fight ever in The Evil Within 2 Because main enemies from The Evil Within 1 Sadist, Keeper, and Laura
ОтветитьGod seeing Myra impale dickhead Father Theodore right through his thick skull is so satisfying. Weakest antagonist by far in the franchise. Ruvik and Stefano were so much better and interesting. He had no right to plant his manipulative cult leader ass in the second half of the plot. Only good thing about him was that he brought the old bosses back.
ОтветитьI just noticed these three bosses were one after another. Been playing this game for 4 years already.
Ответитьlaura still scares the shit out of me
ОтветитьSo Theodore uses ptsd as a weapon?
ОтветитьWhenever I see Sebastian I always think he looks exactly like Keanu Reeves
ОтветитьThis looks better than the first game
Ответитьbotensio
ОтветитьSomeone get the father a cigarette because I’m about to light him up.
ОтветитьThey nerfed The Keeper 😒
ОтветитьI still get chills seeing the Keeper in this game
ОтветитьI've played both TEW and this boss fight with this music is just EPIC and my favorite
ОтветитьI've played both TEW and this boss fight with this music is just EPIC and my favorite
ОтветитьLove this scene Sebastians such a badass cause he’s like okay I’m done with this
ОтветитьI love how that kept the footages from the first game instead recreating it.
ОтветитьTheodore two weaknesses
1. A very VERY pissed off father
2. A very powerful mother
worst boss fight in the game. there shouldve been a follow-up battle against theodore after the 1st two were beaten.
ОтветитьThat’s my supervisor 🥸😎
Ответить"What else have you got?!?!"
Damn Sebastian want more :v
The shrinking lady:come here the flames:not today
ОтветитьIt’s been 3 years since this boss and this is awesome to see Sebastian taking out his memory of his enemy and finally showing Theodore he isn’t a human being he is a slayer (Don’t ask why I ended with “Slayer” I don’t know what to say😋😅)
ОтветитьLike did you see this in the quarantine jajajajaja 🤣🤣🤣😅
ОтветитьI love when Horror Games has moments of badassery where you just say to you enemy, "Fuck it. You want me, lets throw down."
ОтветитьI swear after playing the first game, when this boss fight started I felt some serious PTSD, which only made this part all the more exciting lol
ОтветитьMan just straight up said "I'M THE BOSS FIGHT NOW MOTHERFUCKERS!!"
ОтветитьI love how one of the antagonists are your inner self. This game cuts so deep
ОтветитьSebastian yeets a table at chainsaw guy. I love it
ОтветитьIt's not just a rehash of old fights. It shows how despite how intimidating Wallace is, he's little more than talk. And when he tries to defeat Sebastian by forcing him to face what he is afraid of most, it instead causes him to finally overcome his fears.
As Sebastian said himself, "Enough of this shit!" He's not scared anymore, he's PISSED
Fighting and winning against these bosses in the first TEW only made me feel slightly relieved because I barely survived...
Fighting and reducing to pulp these bosses in the second TEW made me feel like an unstoppable badass and the true nightmare inside the STEM...
I love this franchise, is criminally underrated and amazingly done! I'm still hoping for TEW3 in the new generation of consoles
Seeing quite a few people that don't like this boss fight, but using similar points to explain why. You're entitled to your opinions of course, but I'm explaining why I found it so cool.
Theodore was built up as a manipulator who used unresolved guilt to exploit people, he was never shown to be a fighter.
Throughout the game we see Seb struggle with PTSD due to the first game. Sure, it's mostly resolved if you do the Anima missions but those are optional, plus, Theodore doesn't know about those.
So when he tries to exploit Seb's PTSD, he's obviously shocked to see Seb literally beat the shit out of his PTSD demons.
Plus the enemy tactics are a bit different than the first game.
The Sadist is QTE, sure, but it sets the tone of the rest of the boss fight (that Seb will no longer run from his fears of the past, but will now overcome them).
The Keepers don't throw traps but are much faster and aggressive to make up for it.
Honestly idk about Laura tho, once I saw her I immediately brought out my flamethrower and disposed of her (didn't even bother with the vents).
I have a theory that father theodor repesents the burn of regret and pain. The flame may be gone, but the burns of guilt still remain.
ОтветитьIt was cool to see Sebastian go ham on The Sadist, but overall this fight was just lazy. Reusing models from the first game, making them easier to beat, and in the end, Sebastian never actually gets to take on Theodore himself. After everything this Catholic cult bastard has done, you'd think the game would give the player the satisfaction of taking him out. But nope. Myra ex machina. It would've been so much more satisfying if The Sadist, The Keeper, and Laura were used as a buildup to a grand battle against Theodore instead of them being the whole fight and relegating the actual villain to a cutscene death that wasn't even dished out by the player character.
ОтветитьTheodore is so evil 😒😒 😒
ОтветитьVo is deguelasse
ОтветитьVery clever using the bed and stabbing. What are you? What else have you got? Interesting.
ОтветитьSebastian: “What else you do got!!!!!”
