ОтветитьThis tv movie is becoming more and more recognized today.
ОтветитьYikes! Kind of right for these wicked times. It's not scary, it's frightening.
ОтветитьI live in the UK and was 13 when this came out. I was traumatised for weeks. Just as I got over the trauma my dad who was in the military came home with a full nbc suit and respirator. I asked him if my sisters and me would be getting one and he said no it won't matter the base we live next to would be a definite target and we would all be vaporised in seconds.....
ОтветитьMy grandfather would sit and tape movies from the TV. This was one of them. I remember watching it on VHS a couple of weeks after it aired on telly in 1984. It was just before Christmas and scared the 5h17 out of me.
Ruined Christmas for me that year hahahaha.
This movie is what made me decide i would want to be at ground zero should a nuclear warhead head my way. Most terrifying post nuclear attack movie i'd ever seen
Ответитьthat movie Kids from the 90s is actually the most terrifying thing out there. lord...
ОтветитьThis movie fucked me up wheb I was a teen, I was so afraid that a nuclear bomb would start in my country, and I live in southamerica lol.
But it eventually ir amplified ny curiosity on all things nuclear and now I look like a preacher when I talk about Nuclear Disarmament
we living it now
ОтветитьTHREADS is a film which should come with a disclaimer. It is absolutely terrifying. And the final scene you will never ever forget. You have been warned. It will scar you for life. I cannot state this strongly enough
ОтветитьAwful is not scary. Grim is not terrifying. Lies are about bending truth. So if you wanted to ruin everyone's mood for Halloween you'd see some success. But annoying everyone about horrors of war that never happened and never will is just cringe. Grow up before trying to speak seriously to anyone because I for example begin wishing a nuclear destruction upon all of us after being scammed like that.
Like seriously, dude, who compares Rosemary's baby to All Quiet on the Western Front!?
Remember watching this when it first aired on the BBC, still haunts me to this day. Was actually going to do a review of it, along with The Day After and a few other similar films on my channel a few years, but just got so absolutely depressed trying to rewatch them and write up reviews, I had to abandon the project.
ОтветитьHey I liked you’re video a lot but I just got to say, speak a little bit faster. You sound as if you’re just reading a script. It would take your video from a 9 to a 10. I’m not trying to be insulting or anything it just what I noticed most while watching.
ОтветитьI won't watch this movie for the same reason I won't read 1984. I fully realize their importance for most people, but having battled mental illness for most of my life and likely continuing to do so for the rest of it I don't think these stories would help me.
I'm already extremely grateful for everything good I have, be it my electric stove, clean clothes to wear every day or the friends and family who support me from all sides.
What I need now isn't a reminder of how lucky I am to be alive and that it could end at any moment, but a reminder that things will continue to get better. That I'll be able to work again and laugh without negative thoughts tying me down every single moment of my life.
War isn't the only possible future, and I hope that I will never have to witness it personally.
Present day England is scarier than this. A country invaded by foreign subhumans with more rights and privileges than the native population.
ОтветитьThey put it out on TV on a Sunday evening at 9 pm without a trigger warning. OMG! Starts off awful and gets worse until the terrifying end. I've been anti nuclear ever since.
ОтветитьThe problem with modern horror today is it reverts to getting its horror from, 1) Jump scares, 2) Gore. Usually most movies with promise fall apart in the last 1/3 or 1/4 of the movie, plummeting into absurdity and lack of cohesion. Akin to eating a gourmet meal only to find a used band-aid at the bottom of your bowl. Supernatural horror movies (movies that USED to scare us) fall into this category, usually deciding to go with the 'ghost/demon possesses someone and kills everyone' angle. What is missing for a true horror experience is the creep factor; subtlety, the unresolved tension. The cinematography and music that creates an atmosphere that makes your skin crawl and goosebumps form on your arms, or make the hair on the back of your neck stand up. I might be able to count on one hand in the last 20 years, the movies that did this effectively and affected me like that.
Ответитьshow the charred infants!
ОтветитьEveryone watches this movie twice. First and last. Honestly this movie is so much it stayed with me for days.
ОтветитьNot shocking when you realize it’s a movie
ОтветитьJoe Biden will let this really happen.
