Fantastic show! Just as Netherlands is the best country in the world for long distance cycling, England is best in the world for long distance walking. England should be very proud of its national trails. In my opinion, the SWCP and Wainright’s Coast to Coast are two of the very best walks in the world. Walking short stretches of the SWCP has whetted my appetite for more so in June 2024 I hope to walk a much longer stretch with my wife.

Someone who knows how to make a good hike video ,unlike most who seem to think we want to look their fkg nostrils and their wagging gob for ages 😅😅

I live along the coast from Poole - at the Western end of another coastal path ,The Solent Way. It’s a real shame that a third of the route along the Western Solent is completely inaccessible due to private ownership. This section gives great views across to the western downs of the IOW and on clear days of Portsmouths’ city scape on the horizon and the large ships turning into southampton Water. Fortunately the final third between Beaulieu River & Southampton Water allows the same panorama but is ironically not even included in the official path !
