My granddaughter is a senior in highschool and I was doing research on these because she is in her CNA program now before going to nursing school next school. She is deaf and has blue tooth hearing aids but one is in the ear and one is a Baha on her head behind hear. Not cochlear! She cannot hear without them. I cannot believe how expensive these are!

I just received this as a Peds NP graduation gift and have not put it down, like a new toy!

Have you noticed that the mic/noise enhancer unscrews to the tube /bell and needs frequent adjusting in order to hear ?

I think it'll serve me well working as a cardiac nurse. it was $329 now though with casing that fits really well. 😊

Great review. The bells, however, are not the key as they are the same size. The classic has a single hole (or lumen) all the way up the tube. The cardiologyIV has what's called a dual lumen. This decreases rubbing sounds on the outside of the tube and helps the sound travel easier to your ears. It's all the tubing. You can actually keep the bell and simply pay around $65 and just but the tubing and earpieces and have the cardiology IV.

How do you answer the Why not nursing question, Why medicine? I just want to say I am a Respiratory Therapist, and I already work with them. I would like to have a role with more responsibility where I have a bigger responsibility on my shoulders which covers more than just the Respiratory Therapist scope of Practice.
