JUNK JOURNAL beginners guide from Dollar Tree / TONS of ideas

I just came from dollar tree and brought MUCH more than I thought I’d find but I guess I missed hidden gems since I was looking for the main basics😂

Dang every junk journal video is some nice cute old lady making a junk journal 😊 and then theirs me a 12 year old trying to start junk Journaling 😭

I'm totally new to junk Journaling. I'm just in my research phase so I'm watching videos to see if this is something i want to get involved with after the holidays. Right now I'm doing fall and Christmas DIY's. So, I'm in search of any beginning junk Journaling videos from supplies to getting started! Thank you for your informative video! Dollar tree nail polish and eye shadows are good for adding pops of color also ❤

Most, if not all, of these items, can be found at a local thrift store. It's hit or miss just at a dollar store but at a thrift store, you have the existential happiness of knowing you are buying things that might end up in a landfill while usually benefitting a charity and the practical happiness of knowing you are spending a little less money. I try the thrift store first but if I can't find what I need (and do I REALLY need it?), then I definitely try the dollar stores. TFS.

Wow, your Dollar Tree is stocked like crazy! Unfortunately mine isn’t. We live in the country, so we have to either go to the small towns around us which do what they can for supplies, or drive 4 hours to the biggest city to get whatever I want. I don’t get to the city very often, so I make due with my cute little shops. I’d love to be able to spend hours and hours at a fully stocked store. I’d be in Heaven!

The small organization containers are fantastic! There are also little drawers that I used to organize my Pom poms!!

By the way, could you do a video on the different uses of paper tape? That one is new to me (I'm used to masking tape and washi tape).

Wonderful video! 🥰. This Dollar Tree was fantastic! The art and craft supply aisle at ours is pretty well stocked, but there were things at yours I wish they had! The bead selection was so much better! And I’ve never seen watercolors at ours either!
I saw the little silicone covers for your fingers in one shot…I have those, and they are a life saver! Well…a finger saver! Lol! I always need to hold down a piece after I glue it, and I tend to use my finger instead of a silicone tool…so having this on my pointer finger and thumb works great! 🥰

The tube paints quality is not that great. The 2 best paints from dollar tree is the d.t brand of puffy paint/ fabric paint which I use on stuff besides fabric also. And the other is the Crayola brand washable paints in the smaller round containers. The rest have all been a miss 4 me due to them being very watered down. Also sometimes dollar tree has shoe polish and I have used the brown to distress my books and pages and stuff.
