Three quick notes - 1) Thank you to Morning Brew, 2) Let's address diameter differences. The diameter on my friend's thruster was around 7 cm. The BSI is 12 cm, which is moving a large volume of air. 3) BSI Mark 3 is currently underway. Thanks for watching!

You should try adding some air foils or fins at the intake that would make the air start to spin and I bet it will increase the output just a guess though or redesign the actual grid or have a new grid machined that is designed to get the air spinning idk cool project though

@PlasmaChannel I believe that you are losing power, as you are absorbing the air that is still coming from the sides of the prototype. Only absorb air that is already moving. Use more stages (example 5) and rotate them 72 degrees (360/5) each to control output diffusion.

ОтветитьIf we assume that the system is a fan with propeller, I would tell you a serial connectiondoes not help increasing the air velocity. You increase the fan pressure by adding stages. In order to increase volume, parallel connection is used (but housing for parallel connection can cause an increased resistance. If it behaves as a fan, then you can check sources on mining ventilation engineering or mech eng. liked your video.

ОтветитьThe 2nd and 3rd stages need to decrease gradually in size to increase discharge pressure and velocity.
ОтветитьPerhaps this seems strange and maybe just plain weird, but instead of a linear plane for your plasma but a spiral? The idea is that the you could vary the size of each thruster and keep the highest volume flow of air in the middle. I know you are moving towards a more wing design, but its all just a guess.
