What if you're using a scheduling tool and uplaoding from your computer, does it impact quality?

I notice that I loose quality by uploading it to google drive and then downloading it to my iphone, when i tried to airdrop it my iphone said gave me a pop up saying it could not save it, bu tI am going to try your settings and see if it works, for an example is my last alexandria video on mi insta locotography and you can see what I mean, I was so mad, wasting almost 6 hours trying to do this, Ill post an update on this since I am going to make a new video about how to take care bonsais and I will follow your tips.

Rarely touched on in these type of guides is the 24 framerate. It depends on your content, but the gold standard for that dreamy music-video look is to film in 30 and slow it down by 20% on a 24 timeline. Then export in 24. BUT, the IG minimum is 30 and there are mixed observations on whether the 24 would look choppy or not once uploaded. The running theory is that IG will force the 24 to 30, therefore losing frames. But there isn't a single definitive answer it seems. Safe bet would be to just stick with 30 but you do lose out on that nice dreamy look to your movements.

Thanks for the tip! I had no idea the high-quality setting existed and was turned off by default.
Now you mention transferring your file from your computer to your phone.
But what about uploading from the computer directly?

Why is everybody recommending H264 when H265 is the same quality with less file size to compress?

This video beat 4 other videos. Thank you for being precise and not just pushing non-succinct content.

have watched too many dang videos and still my videos look like crap. When editing in FCPX my 4K videos from my A7IV look absolutely amazing but NEVER look good on Instagram, at least not like so many worse quality videos I watch, Drives me crazy. I will try this method but have a feeling this is old and instagram has changed it's quality settings. So many saying to can upload 4K videos but Not me. Is there a Compression or Bit rate I should be changing in Compressor maybe? Hopefully you will do a newer video for 2023 on this subject. Unfortunately I do not use Premiere but FCPX

From instagrams official page:
'Reels should have a minimum frame rate of 30 FPS (frames per second) and a minimum resolution of 720 pixels.'
So when they say 30fps they mean 29.97? And what do they mean by a minimum of 30. It makes it sound as if you could post more than 30fps but I have tried to post 60 fps many times and it always gets rencoded to 30fps. But I feel like i've seen buttery smooth 60 fps reels before. There is no such thing as support in these major social media corporations cause you're not the customer, so I can't ask them either why I can't post in 60fps but seemingly others can.

Hoping you can help me out. Do you edit instagram reels in a 30fps timeline? Or are you using a 24fps timeline and then exporting 30fps.
