Capitalism is stunting humanity's growth, and most people cannot see the mostrous extent to which it does.

If, as Marx explained, the working class ruled society via a dictatorship of the proletariate, then we as a majority could shape and form society that benefits EVERYONE not just the ultra elite.

Instead of trillions of dollars spent on advertisement and consumerism, we could redirect that fortune to social programs, lifting 3rd world countries off their knees, concentrate funding into science, technology, and universal healthcare and housing.

And eventually we'd reach a point where society is advanced enough, that we can abandon the need for the state, and enter a communist society. And people don't toil all their life just to get buy for meager wage, but instead can devote more time to self developement and pursue their dreams. Which, btw, would boost the developement of civilization exponentioally when you let every human has the capacity to pursue their talents and not waste their life trying to get by on a wage.

But humanity can never achieve this, so long as weath and power if concentrated in the hands of a tiny minorty of elites, whose sole interest is self agrandizement, and the proliferation of capitalism. Does this sound like a utopian fairy tale? It might, but it seems so because people cannot see past their programming to think individualistically, consumerastically, and monitarily by the economic superstructure of capitalism.

All these people romanticising soviet future as if actual ussr was going that way and you lost it all. If soviet union was recreated today, get ready to rot in your miserable tiny flat instead of conquering space

Everyone would drive the same luxury cars, everyone would have the same amount of "wealth", not that kind of individualistic and disgusting capitalist wealth and free market that created the biggest gap between rich and poor, but central planned economy with collectivized industry where everything is ours and there would be no conflict between rich and poor because these classes would not exist, only the working class, only us. We can still fight for it comrades! Dont let the liberals and conservatives fool you, they still serve the capital, not the people!
