As a X1 Carbon 6th Gen user, I doubt I'll ever go to use anything else. My satisfaction with this laptop/ultrabook went to a point where I refuse to work on my wife's HP Elitebook (which is obviously another good ultrabook), so I copy it on a USB stick and work on my one lol. Love these machines.

Intel invented the Ultrabook branding in direct reply to the 2008 MacBook Air which was eating sales of all other laptops.

Why is everything an Ultrabook? Because they're small, thin, and fast as butt lightning.

DON'T LOSE YOUR MONEY, INCREDIBLE CUST SERV, DO NOT BUY X1 fold, OR ANY LENOVO PRODUCT, we purchased one for first time, barely used it maybe 10 times and by the 4th month it failed, wouldn't start up, called Lenovo, explianed situation and they approved to send us a replacement, they flat out lied to us because 6 days later we received an empty box to ship it for repair, not replacement as we we're promised. So we shipped for repair. 10 days later not having heard from them we called, it turns out that the repair was on hold, they were charging us $1337 to replace the motherboard, when Ii remind them it's 4 months from purchase and barely used, they excuse themselvesby lying again saying it had water damage, it had been stored in office drawer for most of the 4 months, they couldn't even have cliamed it had dust damage due to it have been put away withot use. Total lies.

You are casual user. Every piece of metal for 400$ will be good enough for you. Performance is shitty. But it's light and thin. I don't get that chase for thinnest laptop. If an 14 inch small machine can beat that ultraBooks. And will be just slightly less thin.

I just can't understand how he is constantly using the touchpad instead of the Trackpoint. Every time I have to use a touchpad, I feel like losing valuable life time since these things are so damn bad compared the trackpoint.

i'd say it wasn't until a few years ago
gaming desktops were replaced by gaming laptops, price wise
i don't game as much as i do, which also justifies getting a laptop specific for gaming too

I own the Nano Gen 2 and have had thinkpads for the last 10 years. I love the finish that Lenovo puts on these. Yes, the cover can be a fingerprint magnet. Fair enough, however, I've also had a Macbook and whenever I carry it around I'm afraid I'm going to drop it because it is super, super, super slipper. Typical Apple POV that looks matter over function. I don't want a $2.5k laptop to go flying and smash. They are slipper enough that I put bathtub anti-slip strips on it. So much for aesthetics. The thinkpads are very, very grippy.

Meh give me an upgradable workstation that will hold 2 nmve ssds, 4 ram slots, a replaceable battery and a real dedicated video card. I don’t care if it’s old and heavy that is a real productivity and gaming beast.

I will keep my macbook pro till it dies then consider what newest generation pc vs mac laptop i should get. Lenovo thinkpads have been on my sights for years now.

I love ThinkPads as much as the next person, but if I wanted to watch a commercial I would have. I actually wanted to know why everything was an ultrabook, as I hate ultrabooks with a a burning passion. But no, question unanswered, all I got was an ad for a ThinkPad I have no interest in.

Nah, Lenovo quality is low and their service quality is even lower. I have an X1 yoga which costed nearly 3k back in 2018. MB was replaced 3 (three) times under warranty because Lenovo official service installed broken MB two times in a row (first with broken ram and then with a broken video output). 3rd time they broke a keyboard retraction mechanism and rejected to fix it because warranty already ended when they did the 3rd service. Owning such a “business laptop” is just a waste of you valuable time.
