Gimp 2.8 Tutorial - Change colour of an object - [ Gimp change color of objects tutorial ]

Hi, when I select mode I hue options are Lch or Hsv my drop down looks different. Which do I select please?

I've noticed you can't do this for lighter coloured cars, especially white cars. Any advice on that? Maybe I should darken the image and up the contrast first?

How would you do that with white? ............. my car is white, and I would like to see what it would look like in yellow.
Possible?

This video has been a big help... One question... I am doing a logo which has a red border and wanted to change the color to black.. I took my Paintbrush and selected black.. and black showed up on the color square... however when I went to paint over the red it turned it to dark blue instead of the black ... Any suggestions of what I could have done wrong?
