My tip is buy rerelease if it is out there if you just want the fig and don't care what package it comes in

People piss me off how they over price these Black Series, just started collecting. It's bullshit. I refuse to pay over $30 for a 6" figure.

Agreed about focus. It helps. The other tough thing is picking things up at the right time. I wish I had picked up the Purge Stormtrooper, cause it costs waaaay more than I want to pay for a 6” fig.

My tip: Screw the convention exclusives. Don't bother. They're often re-issued, maybe with less accessories, but it's just not worth it. That Boba Fett convention exclusive that comes with the Han in carbonite, for instance. I've seen that float around for 250$+. You can find a really good 3D printed Han in carbonite on E-bay for about 10-15 bucks. Buy a regular Fett to go with it and you're done. Don't be like me and pay stupid money for the Jabba with throne.

The best advice is talk to your wife!!!!! Mines goes nuts with me everything I get a new package 📦 but the good this is that I do have a budget for every purchase

Omg I was married before the stroke and cardiac arrest Matt and I can remember my then wife Angy from 1999-2009 and I had talks about my hobby of collecting action figures like star wars and transformers toys. But yes I agree with talking to your spouse first lol

With Star Wars I go with famous pairs. R2 and 3PO or Luke and Vader, Han and Cheese etc.

when i started i started collecting clone troopers only but i still dont have captain rex.

I seriously want to recreate the Snoke throne room fight between Kylo-Rey and the preaetorian guards, but damn those red guards are so difficult to find nowadays. Hopefully they would get an archive release.

For me I had to make the choice to only collect clones,mando's and spiderman. And although I have bought some beast wars and studio series transformers its helped a lot with staying in budget

Knockoffs are a 50/50 thing .... sometimes quiet decent, sometimes garbage

I love (basic) ko clone troopers standing besides my Black Series Rex and Cody. Great choice for relatively cheap army building

Disagree 100% on tip 2. They will never rerelease figures from the OG or black and red boxes I.E. captain Rex or general kenobi that are worth close to $200.00.

Do you collect titanium black series ships? The 3 inch ones? Was wondering about the sith infiltrator ship if the landing gear unfolds

Also I won't consider myself a collector just yet. I think I'll be stopping at 6-7 ships for now till I replenish my savings. Also focusing my search on ships, especially just the small ones, is easy in the wallet for me

Why is that collectors must give explanations all the time? I don’t see football fans explaining anything so they can go watch a bunch of dudes hitting each other’s for a ball, and that is amazing.

I pretty much collect Grievous and Ventress, or if it's a clone wars character at a good price, I found Wolfe at a gamestop at clearance and I had a coupon for a few bucks off

I like my action figures big, buff and colourful but dam I need some six inche Star Wars representation in my collection, also are you ever going to start shipping stuff to Australia

My first order army laughs at you all, jokes aside I absolutely love the first order and it’s so great seeing how I never pay more than 20 bucks for most of my figures since it’s sequel trilogy prices, the HUGE benefit of being a sequels fans ;)

The tip that I’d like to know would be is there any way that you can find out the rarities of these figurines so you know which one will be worth the most upon purchase? Is there a website that shows the amount produced of each? Thanks!

In my case I’m just focusing on the main characters of each trilogy. Say the sequels: Rey, Poe, BB8, Finn, Kylo & (maybe) Snoke, that’s it. I don’t need 20 stormtroopers, 50 phase 1 clones or the entire Jedi Council from the Prequels. Just the main cast & that’s it.

Personally I wouldn't marry anyone if I didn't think they would accept me buying toys and they would already know I collect before they said yes to me.

This helps it good advice I just started collecting at the end of December 2023 and I am obsessed staying focused on a certain series or movie slash show is what I gained from this video and it makes sense I'm going to start by collecting the book of Boba fett and go from there just starting I got 10 so far of the characters I am fond of the most . But after viewing this vid since I have most of the book of Boba fett I might as well complete that and go from there . What is difficult for me I want to collect enough to make a Battle Diorama but don't want to take any of the figures out of the box
