ОтветитьCan you just use any inlet valve ?
Ответитьhello sir, what if my toilet inlet shut off valve is rust and leaking? how do you replace that? thanks in advance
ОтветитьI've got an old Gerberit cistern inlet filler that leaks like hell. I've taken the valve apart several times and use limescale remover to clean it and the refitted. After a few days or weeks the valve starts leaking again. Getting to the point of replacing the bottom feed inlet valve unit. Are the bottom screw diameters all the same size on all inlet valves or will i have to measure the inlet hole at the bottom of the cistern? Any help would be must appreciated..
ОтветитьTorbeck B661AT - is this ok for low pressure water as I want to hook up a big rainwater barrel currently outside the d/s loo to the fill pipe (on a lever to switch between rainwater and mains )

ОтветитьEverytime I watch these YT vids, on this subject, they replace the whole unit-WHY, last time I had this problem, water continuing to trickle into the cistern, I was able to get a replacement Rubber seal, and job done ?? or has MODERN designs prevented that now ? Progress eh?

ОтветитьHow to adjust the water level
ОтветитьNice of you to skip over the hardest part of the job. REMOVING THE NUT UNDERNEATH. Forget to include that? No, you probably spent about 20 minutes doing it.
ОтветитьWhats the part number anyone?.
ОтветитьGreat vid - has a real 90s mtv vibe
ОтветитьJob done, turned off the water and just cleared out the muck behind the filter. I didn't need to put in a new filter. It might be worth trying first, thanks again.
ОтветитьYou're the man, I've been trying to find that exact fill valve for ages and showing how to replace it is a bonus. Many thanks
ОтветитьYou deserve knighthood from the queen thank you for sharing such knowledge. I will repair my fill valve tomorrow as it doesn’t turn off!
