Is it possible to get a USB C to 3.5mm jack and plug in any mic? Do I absolutely need the media mod?
ОтветитьFew years later, here I am with the comment, mate, where did you buy that furry thing that you put on your GoPro camera? I think that for my needs, the built in mic with that thing is more than enough. :) Thanks! Btw, I subscribed, great content!
Ответитьthe media mod mic sounds like ass. i have it. but i use it to plugin an external mic.
ОтветитьJust subscribed!
ОтветитьWish you would have showed how to actually set these up
ОтветитьI missed why you said you try to avoid using auto wind reduction? Also I hate how GoPro forces people to buy media mod to add mics, shouldn’t that be open to all manufacturers
Ответитьif u make a video about audio play back ur stuff on utube and hear that ur video sound sux.
ОтветитьLittle different but what mic would you recommend to pickup vehicle noise I like to capture motorsports style videos
ОтветитьGreat video. I just have two questions for you. Why not have the wind reduction feature turned on all the time, and where did you get the wind screen? Thanks for the content
ОтветитьThanks for all the test very helpful
ОтветитьI have the hero 5 black and I need an external mic like the Lav style that I can place in a separate location from the gopro so it does not pick up the same vibrations from the road. It seems the hero 5 black utilizes a clunky box adapter in order to use an external mic. Do you know a better way or do I have to upgrade?
Ответитьbuilt in mic is better than media mod mic. Period.
ОтветитьThank you! This was a huge help!
ОтветитьLove the etm mic!
ОтветитьHello Mr, I’m from Cambodian use gopro hero10, make to videos I’m not use microphone.🇰🇭❤️️🙏 Thank you
ОтветитьGreat test. Lav is best for voice as you said. Built in mic with auto wind reduction seems the best and most practical overall.
Ответитьawesome video! question, what ulanzi cold shoe adapter is that?
ОтветитьMedia Mod sounds totally good to me and I'm usually pretty particular about this stuff (hens why I'm watching this comparison).
ОтветитьCan you use the ETM-001 directly with the GoPro hero black nine, or do you need to also include the Media Mod?
ОтветитьHi. Why are you using an adapter with three stripes instead of two. ?
ОтветитьHello
I take the liberty of contacting you I am French I am looking for an alternative to the GoPro Hero 9 microphone I am filming sporting events on a scooter I am looking for a microphone to plug into my GoPro Hero 9 black so that I can comment on the bike race live
the gopro hero 9 has 3 mics, so if you cover all 3 you should be good to go without anything else :)
ОтветитьReally good review. Appreciate that you do the bike test. Thanks.
ОтветитьThis was very helpful, thank you! But can we talk about the incredible homes in your neighborhood?? WOW! Those are multi million dollar houses here in San Diego, CA.
ОтветитьGreat comparison. Useful. You got my like. :)
ОтветитьDo you recommend the Hero 9 for multi use? (i.e recording both my appliances and maybe also my night biking rides?)
ОтветитьDo you think the ETM-001 would be good for POV driving videos for my channel?
ОтветитьThanks for doing this test. I recently got the Hero10 and used the media mod mic a few times. I don't like it. It sounds tinny, and this is exemplified in your testing as well. I like the lab mic best, but it's not as convenient. I got a windslayer foam type thing I'll be trying out to help the onboard mics perform better in the wind.
ОтветитьHi Clint, thanks for this video! I'm looking for a high quality mic for live concert footage of both the crowd and live music. Which one of these mics would you recommend for my application?
ОтветитьGreat video !
Just got myself the Gopro10 with a chest rig to use while I'm out fishing. Not too impressed by the sound quality when it's a bit windy, do you have any tips for which microphone would be best? The camera itself will be on the chest rig and sometimes on a pole in the middle of the boat, which microphone would you recommend?
Thank you for the information
ОтветитьThanks Clint, I've just started my own channel and so far don't have a mic outside the built-in one on my Go-Pro. Still scratching my head a bit deciding which to get but this was really helpful.
ОтветитьCan you provide the link to the ulanzi adapter for media mod to keep the furry mic higher?
ОтветитьSo glad I found you. Have a Hero 10 so this is still applicable. Great options here I hadn’t heard before. You got me as a new subscriber.
ОтветитьEtm-001 the best
ОтветитьHave u considered putting a compressor and limited on the audio tracks?
ОтветитьAwesome video, just turn down sharpness to middle in the camera.
Ответитьdoes the etm001 with the dead cat + l adapter move when on the media mod?
ОтветитьI got the media mod, too. And as in your video it's internal mic sounds worse then the gopro's.
But the hero 9 mics regularly add some crackling/pop sound into the audio chanells.
The ETM-001 elbow adapter that you have linked and that you show in the video is a TRS to TRRS adapter. I didn’t think that worked?? Please advise. Thank you. Great info in this video.
ОтветитьJust found your channel due to your gopro stuff. You seem like a pretty cool dude. Keep up the good work.
ОтветитьHey, I got the ETM001, not sure if mine is defective but ive tried different types of foam and dead cats but once I get to about 30km/h on the bike the wind noise litterally cuts the audio in and out, sounds like its 'clipping'. Do I just need to try to cut down on wind noise even more?
ОтветитьI actually think the Built in GoPro mic sounded the best, other then the lapel mic.
ОтветитьThanks! This video is very helpful.
ОтветитьNice video 👍🏼
ОтветитьWhere do you get the furry screens for the internal built in microphones?
