Would you buy this MacBook Pro? I had to buy the cheapest working one, but would it have been wiser to spend extra on one without a dent 🧐
ОтветитьThe screen is damaged too. It can go worse any sooner or later. I don’t feel it a bargain because the screen is such a important part. It is a gamble.
ОтветитьMany Apple user got mad of new apple policy, getting tired the way they treat the money that we spent. some clients gone for other solutions.
ОтветитьOh, 16”. M1 Pro… A thou for a damaged Macbook Pro. No way I would pay that.
The dark spot will always be on my mind and drive me nuts!
i bought m2 max 16 for $500
ОтветитьYou got a great deal bro!!!
ОтветитьI BOUGHT THE 14 AND 16 IN TB MODELS LOVE THEM!! USE THE SUCTION CUP FOR THE DENT IN THE LID .....IJS
ОтветитьMicrocenter Renewed Open box M1 pro 16" 16gig $770
ОтветитьAfter comparing it to the M4 chip MacBooks. Maybe make this into a headless MacBook Pro M1 Pro
ОтветитьI'd never buy damaged like that. You'll just lose more in resale value later.
ОтветитьI bougth a 2018 Macbook Pro i9/32/500 for $200.00 the list had no real pictures and no info, but when it came, I didnt believe it, the Mac was in real pretty good condition. I won the lottery
ОтветитьWaiting for m4 pro - it will phenomenal
ОтветитьMichael Scott approved video.
ОтветитьAs an owner of a 14" MacBook Pro with the M1 Pro and 32GB of RAM, I see zero reason to buy anything else at the moment. It's a great value for the performance and if these are going for under USD$1,000 now that's going to be hard to beat for a while.
ОтветитьI'd love to see you try and fix that screen lid. Maybe some suction cup to undo the dent? I believe there are car repairing kits to do such things. I understand this isn't risk free, but you can try and then it will be a really cheap macbook pro in semi-perfect condition.
ОтветитьI would get a DENT guy to pull those out a little from the top and that will relieve the dark spot for sure...
ОтветитьI am a long time ago former mac user. I just managed to snag a M1 MacBook Air for $300. While it only has 8/256, the kicker is that it has never been used. The battery life astonishes me. It run circles around my 4-Core mini Windows PC (AMD) with 40 Gigs of ram. It's been so long I had forgotten why I love Macs. Hooked it up via USB C to HDMI to a 4k tv, but will need an appropriate monitor. EDIT: The TRACKPAD!
ОтветитьI came here because I have a dilemma and wanted to see how it went for you buying a used MacBook on eBay. So here it is: I have 2 older Windows PCs that are not supported by Microsoft officially to get the update to Windows 11. So I would need to buy a new PC and since everything else I have is Apple, I’ve decided to look at MacBooks.
I have an M1 iPad with a Magic Keyboard that I use for pretty much everything currently (browsing the web, media consumption, social media, reading, pdf creation and viewing, notes, word documents, and some light spreadsheet creation too).
I currently only use my PCs maybe a couple times a month. I really only need a computer type device going forward for data storage, tax season, and I need to use proprietary software to transfer software updates to an SD card for my car. I also have a multi port dongle that has a sad card slot on it.
So what should I do? I don’t feel I need a brand new MacBook Pro or Air considering my minimal use case. Should I buy like a 2018 or 2019 Intel MacBook Pro, a used M1 or M2 MacBook Air, an M1 MacBook Pro, etc? I can buy a new MacBook Air or Pro but don’t really feel the need to spend that kind of money on a device I will rarely use. Any suggestions?
Ehh idk. Best Buy these past view weeks has had the base 14 inch MacBook Pro M3 Pro chip with 18 GB of RAM now standard and the 512 GB SSD for $1,500. I know the screen is smaller but having a brand new MacBook Pro with a year warranty and the ability to get AppleCare I don’t think can be beat.
ОтветитьHow do you know that defect isn’t going to get worse with time!!
ОтветитьI just bought an Omen 16inch laptop with an intel 13620h which is faster than an M2 for 850 euro boxed receipt, not a scratch.144hz screen 4060rtx etc etc.
ОтветитьWith the crazy sales he can get a brand new M2 MacBook Air for $749
ОтветитьI currently own the M3 Pro MacBook Pro 18GB/512GB Space Black, but I baby mine and didn't want to actually take it out of the house! (I know) So I have just managed to get myself the M1 Pro 14, 10 core CPU/16 core GPU 16GB/1TB for £690!! What a saving, these newer models do not seem to be keeping their value as well as Macs used to, which is weird. Keep up the great work. Almost time for M4 Macs haha..
ОтветитьCould you not suction cup the dent back to shape?
ОтветитьI just recently paid $800 for a m1 pro 14’ macbook pro 16gb ram 512 ssd. Everything like new condition with a 94% battery life. Felt like I hit the latto
ОтветитьI’m not surprised of the good conditions. My best friend’s ex worked for a big Apple Premium Reseller stores chain, and he saw MacBooks brought in for replacement over the most ridiculous things like a missing bottom feet or a (slightly) scratched port….🤯 I’m not making this up. I witnessed the second case in person — and the girl with her mommy who brought in that 2-years-old MacBook sure weren’t happy when the store reps told them the “scratched” port ((scratches so tiny you literally needed a magnifying glass to see them)) wasn’t real damage and her Mac was completely fine….cue double karen tantrums and the two ladies (who were clearly trying to get a brand new MacBook for free) being escorted out of the premises. 🙄🤦♀️ My mind still boggles when I remember it.
ОтветитьI bought the then new 16” 2020 M1 MBP base model in the 1st week of January 2021 on a purchase return discount (~$2,150). I have used it ever since with a great experience. I would buy it again, though I love the 15” air form factor. I have not bought an M2 or M3 because there’s little difference for my use. I did get an external SSD caddy that runs wicked fast and when I get 40-50Gb in my temp drive, I move it to the external HD. That keeps my SSD at about 300GB of 512GB used. It’s such a great machine the M4 Pro will have to be something extra to replace it.
ОтветитьI believe it is a good deal for a Tech enthusiast.
ОтветитьWatching from my M1 Pro 16''' | Not thinking of changing in the near future.
ОтветитьThat's a Ugreen 100W you just dissed on to make good on Anker's charger. I guess I'll just forget the time you got sponsored from Ugreen😂
ОтветитьI managed to get a MacBook Pro, M1 Pro, 16GB, 512GB for £749.99 in the UK.
Has a few signs of wear and tear on the case and the anti glare coating is startinng to come off the screen but its not visible at all when in use.
Very happy.
Best Buy $1400 M3 Air is the deal I think - $500 off.
Ответитьof course it's a good deal !!! i wish i could buy it in that state and for that price ! ok i offer you $850 and it's mine okay ? you don't need it anymore... you've got plenty of other Macs !!!! LOL
ОтветитьIts 850 in best buy
ОтветитьI've always considered the M1 pro base model as the logical machine to buy used after a few years over the latest air. Even if the performance were similar (maybe they'll be close when we reach M4) you still get more storage and RAM; and more ports. Definitely the machine I'll pick in a few years when I want to replace my air M1 (hopefully it can last 4-5 years more)
Ответитьthe dark spot on the display is not because of it being hit it's because it's still pushing on the back of the display pulling the dent out a little bit should relieve the display darkening
ОтветитьThanks for the video, I don’t like when Apple switches between their chips and intel. I prefer intel where I can run boot camp, I am going to wait until they bring back the intel chips.
ОтветитьMr Miami, you are my favorite tech geek.
ОтветитьMy 16inch 1TB M1 Pro is still a beast. Don’t see any need to upgrade for a couple of years
ОтветитьI love how these display panels are designed with zero tolerance for error, yet somehow, there’s room for a tiny dead bug inside my 14" M1 MacBook Pro! 😭 How did it even get in there?!
If anyone knows, please tell me! I used to have a cheap Lenovo with wide gaps all around the screen, and never had a bug slip through. So how is this even possible with a "premium" device like this?
I got the exact same without the defect for $1,100 and it was my first entry into Macs. I haven’t looked back since. Best bang for buck ever! All day battery life with so much power! I struggle to get anything else
ОтветитьLuke: ...oh we've a bit of a dented in the lid here...
Seller: yeah it's me
I am very OCD, so the dent would be a no for me, however, it’s still a great deal
Ответитьhi Luke can i swap my brand new m2 macbook air with the original accessories and box for your m1 macbook pro, i think it’s worth asking 😂
ОтветитьBad deal when it's 100 extra for a non damaged system but over 400 to repair and loose features
Ответитьits worth what someone is willing to pay for it. seeing how you were willing to pay for it i dont think it was that good of a deal simply because i dont believe that i would be willing to pay for it because i have options. but at that price that could be a really good deal for someone who is already out of budget and wants to spend just a little more for a better device who doesnt mind the damage.
Ответитьeven using it headless would be fine!
ОтветитьI am selling my 2 years old M1 Pro 13 inch 8 GB 512 GB for 599 Dollars. Condition is clean.
