Looks like a very depressive sight, maybe we need to start thinking about the architecture in this country to make and feel more positive, like more trees, colourful architecture, but definitely keep historical architecture they have character, and get rid of other ugly buildings. Maybe make buildings more like Spain, Morocco. And lots of green space. The weather doesn’t help maybe the landscape can uplift people’s lives, maybe do tourism. Oh I forgot these areas don’t like foreigners, so that idea is not good.

When you're poor you have to look at what the rich do, and take certain aspects of their lives for yourself. For instance, health care. Look after your bodies; don't drink, don't do drugs. Don't gamble. This isn't the '50's. The rich get freebies, so look around. Minimise social contact with people worse than you - and there always is. It isn't natural to be antisocial and vice free, but that's what you need to do if you want to survive this.

That place with the black mould, leaving heating on all day is the worse that you can do! You need fresh air open your windows slightly, and use mould remover or neat bleach!!! And buy some mouse traps, and do not have food on the floor! And the tops! No food about they will not come in!
Basically clean your house, and educate your kids not to walk around eating! Dropping food everywhere!

£2,000 a month?! I live in York, graduated in Law and work full-time and my monthly income after taxes is only £1,720 (paying £400 in tax & pension). What on earth am I doing wrong...

They alway have the same excuses, "can't work because I've got depression" "I've got loads of kids". They know the benefits system and how to claim for anything. The £2000 a month they get in benefits will amount to more than £1 million in total by the time she claims state pension

I hope this is credible, but I don't wish to continue; seems to be making a point which is good. Middlesbrough was acclaimed the top ten roughest towns to live in, particularly the neighbourhood my church was on. It was fine, just kids took my freaking bike -_- but far from rough. Sure the whole north east by majority is narcissistic and emotionally/cognitively stumped but people also go by what's right here. If something is obviously immoral, people would be surprised how righteous the big guys are and their familiarity with the locals. To the point and fair though could be harsh to some. And the big guys aren't those who have neck fat, I mean moral and honourable character. The North East is also cut off from the world except for car and coach, south of Darlington needs changes because the government prioritised too much in petty stuff councils can do like disguising the air shafts. Now protected irreplaceable habitats across the UK have been destroyed and the North still don't have that "compensation " for thatchers choice: jobs, accessibility, economy.

Think of the 10% most incompetent pupils in your years at school. They don't suddenly become competent after they leave school. In each of my years there were about 360 childeren. It was obvious even then how 36 of them would end up.

HORRIFIED! Perhaps all these benefits should come with some simple education about housekeeping and financial management. I do not beleive that people cannot manage on £2,000 pounds a month. Un-employment in the Uk is not a hardship with all the benefits you receive, if you are sensible, budget.
My god, if you went to the poor areas of India, you'd really know what beiing poor is and these people might change thier attitude if they had no home, no shoes or food, no healthcare and no governemtn handouts at all.

As a full time carer I survive on carers allowance & top up of 160 a month on Uc.
I pay Council tax , rent top up , food & fuel .
Cannot even afford to shop at charity shops .
