ОтветитьWho are the real barbarians?
ОтветитьJoe-see-fus
ОтветитьGirl the one who narrates this, the pyramids where first ancient cronological made not statue of zeus and it wasn't biggest! Bloody hell thats what happens when people without knowlodge tries to teach things that aren't true
ОтветитьDo the Colosseum
ОтветитьYou actually pixelated a Greek statue's junk. 🤡
Ответитьit would not be possible the Colossus of Rhodes stood at the harbor, as that meant the harbor would have been closed during construction, nor would they have had means to clean up the harbor after construction was finished, same goes for cleaning up the remains after the 226 earthquake, the remains were left for the next 800 years for tourists, which would have been impossible if the statue was located at the harbor.
ОтветитьI’m Babylonian I believe the hanging gardens of Babylon is real it’s just been so long so many wars and just time that there’s no way it would leave any evidence at all.
ОтветитьUm how is that possible.
If they started the Zeus Statue around 466 bc then ( forgive me but maybe by math at mathing the way my math should math) but they couldn't have finished 36 years before it was ever started.
Started 466bc
Finished 430 bc.
I think your mean
A. B. C or b.c.c.
B started 466 bc finished 500bc
C started 436 bc fi shed 466 bc
Cadence has "burger king foot lettuce" vibes.
ОтветитьI did not see the 8th wonder of the world Andre the Giant and the 9th wonder of the world Chyna anywhere.
ОтветитьImagine if they secretly had photography in the times of the Statue of Zeus and Colossus of Rhodes. Imagine it. Imagine it now.
ОтветитьI loved it! 👍👍👍
ОтветитьThere has NEVER been any tombs found in the great pyramid, and that big black box was empty when it was discovered + it had no carvings or inscriptions as with every single tomb from ancient Egypt
Ответить😂 history and non-fiction story are different things. Just because they are ancient stories, that doesn't mean they were real 😂
ОтветитьThe Great Wall.
ОтветитьPe-Tolomy. Erm, OK....
Ответитьdid you really censored a statue?
ОтветитьGreat video. Just, FYI, you don't pronounce the "P" in Ptolemy. But carry on. Good stuff.
Ответитьapart from the bad pronunciation, I find it more irritating that BC/AD is used rather than BCE and CE, which is the new systems. Stop using this christian way of explaining history
also, how many times does this channel have to ask people to subscribe?
Bronze statues aren't solid.
ОтветитьHalf of this list is wrong, not only that but there are 7 wonders not 10
ОтветитьZeus = Jesus = Zeus
Ответить"Patolemy" 😂
ОтветитьThe p is silent in Ptolemy lol
ОтветитьAnyone else hate her narration?
ОтветитьI've Always been fascinated by the Ancient Wonders, like since I was a small nerdy girl reading in the library during my lunches in elementary school (instead of, you know, making friends 🙄). I had no idea that all but 2(?) of them were built within such a short time period! I can only imagine what it must have been like to live in the 4th century BCE, when varied cultures all around the Mediterranean were building these massive monuments. Works like these showcase flourishing societies, as it takes a Surplus of riches - financial, material and labor, to afford to allocate those resources away from survival. I also had no idea that both the Lighthouse of Alexandria and the Halicarnassus Mausoleum both survived well into the Middle Ages!!!
Thank you for all the new info! I would have liked to have seen more/better renderings of what they actually looked like, Zeus in all his bejeweled glory, and the pyramids with totally smooth sides, but there Were a lot of awesome images, both original and (I assume) rendered for this video. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed it. 🥰
What about the Great Wall of China
ОтветитьReally great video!
ОтветитьComplete lies on the great pyramids
ОтветитьYour refreshingly personable and expressive voice and well-researched content is somewhat diminished by your mispronunciation of articles both definite and indefinite, e.g. I know what 'a rumour' is, but what is 'A rumour'? 'Zeus is THEE God to the ancient Greeks', correct, but 'THEE 1st century' no. Many examples throughout. I know this is regarded as standard or professional, especially among North Americans when they are reading or narrating, but it will always sound amateurish and cringeworthy to me. Otherwise very well done. Call me pedantic but I find this mannerism irritating. Genuinely interested in your feedback.
ОтветитьPhidia's statue of Zeus was in Olympia not Athens!
Ответить....For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles, and last of all he appeared to me also, as to one abnormally born.
For I am the least of the apostles and do not even deserve to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me. Whether, then, it is I or they, this is what we preach, and this is what you believed.
Amen ✝️
(1 Corinthians 15:3-11;NIV)
Do the Ottoman empire!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьWhy are the Statues cencered. Its art.
ОтветитьThe P in Ptolemy is silent. Its pronounced Tolemy.
Ответитьthe P is silent....
ОтветитьSorry but Andre the Giant was the 8th Wonder of the World
ОтветитьI cannot believe you pixelated Zeus's genitalia. You utter prudes and shameless Philistines.
Ответитьthen rebuild .....
ОтветитьWhat no roman colosseum or great wall of china 😂
ОтветитьPretty sure the P in Ptolemy is silent
ОтветитьVery interesting documentary. My understanding is that the Colossus of Rhodes did not straddle the harbor entrance. It stood to one side of it.
ОтветитьOlympia was in the Peloponnese, not Athens.
ОтветитьThanks for the shitty a.i. voice over. Stopped watching it.
ОтветитьThe title implies this is about what they would have looked like. But the Colossus of Rhodes section contains many images of the statue straddling the harbour entrance. This has been widely proved to be inaccurate. At that height the statue couldn't possibly have looked like that. 👎
Ответитьyour missing so much info collosus was dived up for scrap
