This may be a dumb question but can someone explain to me the context of "winning" when it comes to flipping vs not flipping a coin? Like how does the player or quantum computer win? How is that a game? Does it win if it picks the opposite of what you pick?

This is an AWFULLY explained example. I still don’t understand how the computer won. I’m not a computer scientist, but a Mecganical Engineer who has done a fair amount of programming with Monte Carlo simulations using various distributions (the kinds of non-binary spectrums she mentioned). But I found her explanation so dam confusing. She’s so smug. She needs to learn to be much much more coherent and simplistic in her explanations. 10 minutes of my life wasted listening to this totally USELESS fool.

Well, I'm sold. Let's give Big Pharma the quantum ability to produce drugs to create problems that need drugs to solve them. Great idea, good track record. What could go wrong?

The theoretical coin flip game was not explained in any manner that helped me in the least. WHY was the ability to work with uncertainty helping the process to predict? How could it be flawless (ie, 100% win, excluding computer errors)?

So then according to the Quantum computer, the probability of Heads in a coin toss game is no longer 50%,
because the entire game is biased towards the computer winning,
thus making it a prophet capable of projecting a future outcome
rather than a machine that accurately verifies the truth of the reproducible fact that the odds in a coin toss game are always 1/2? 🤔
Where does this leave one with our high school math? 😰

teleporting information breaks the law of quantum physics. you need to do two measurements - when sending info and when receiving. the first measurement will collapse the quantum system so the second measurement will show false result

The reason why the quantum computer had that high winning rate is because the game was played in its world. Secondly, it has full control over its world and knows how to get what it wants with what it has. Hence, it will always win any game it plays.

That is one major problem of humanity. Lack of absolute control over our world due to very high uncertainty about the future. That is why we plan but may still not achieve the desired target due to unforeseen circumstances.

This technology has so much potential!!!

So the computer cheated. Staying in superposition for the coin flip is not committing to a side. Not committing is not playing the game. This 50/50 coin flip was a terrible example at manifesting at superposition.

These people turn respectable physics into a playground for unserious actors who sell people empty dreams. No information can be transported faster than the speed of light. There is therefore no quantum tunnel to transport data faster than today's technologies can. She didn't speak about the data volume but explicitly that her quantum network can transport data faster.

Here's more easy explaination.
Imagine regular computers use bits to store and process information, where each bit can be either 0 or 1. Quantum computing, on the other hand, uses quantum bits, or qubits, which can represent 0, 1, or both at the same time. This is because of a property called superposition.

Think of qubits like a spinning top: a normal bit would be either spinning clockwise (representing 0) or counterclockwise (representing 1). But a qubit can spin in both directions simultaneously!

This unique ability to be in multiple states at once is what makes quantum computing powerful. It allows quantum computers to consider and calculate many possibilities simultaneously, making them potentially much faster for certain types of problems than classical computers.
Quantum computing is not science fiction; it's a leap in computation that opens new horizons for tackling some of the most complex problems in science, technology, and society."
