Thank you for this. I was looking for remote access but found this video to be super interesting and easy to follow, twice.
Ответитьfor newb like me, for what you use the OSPF?
ОтветитьI have an edgerouter X (remote) and a UDR (local). How painful will it be to replicate this setup with those devices? The UDR has built in wireguard support for its VPN server (and client). The UDR has built in site to site which I assume makes the routing and multicast config easier but it only supports ipsec and openvpn. I'd like to maintain my warranty by not enabling console/ssh access to the UDR. Would it recommended just to use the IPsec?
ОтветитьThank you for this video. It guides me to successfully set up a wireguard vpn. Can you please make a video which explain how to route traffic from one IP to wireguard connection? Thank you.
ОтветитьGreat... Right to the point . Kudos
ОтветитьThanks to your informative video, I was able to set up site to site tunnels involving a mix of ER-Xs, Untangle, and Gargoyle/OpenWRT. Thanks again.
ОтветитьI have been using WireGuard for a while now thanks to your great tutorial! Recently I was so dumb to upgrade the firmware on one of the locations, and need to set it up again. It does not seem to work for me, I run in to all sorts of trouble… is there a way to start over with the WireGuard setup without resetting the whole router?
ОтветитьLove the video. Love not editing out the mistakes (other than the massive one)
ОтветитьUsed this guide late last year and it worked perfectly. We now have another remote site we would like to connect to the same local site. What's the best way to do that? Do I need to create another interface at the local site or can the 2nd remote site connect to the original local interface?
ОтветитьThank you for such a wonderful guide. I recently implemented this exact setup using ER-X and your instructions were a great help.
Have you noted an issue with ER-X where IP phones on a LAN can register to an on-premise PBX in a remote LAN over the Wireguard VPN but audio traffic doesn't make it across? There's end to end IP connectivity and no firewalls in between.
ok got my pfsense Wireguard firewall connected successfully to my edge router, great but subnets behind each side can't talk? any ideas? personally id prefer to use x2 pfsense firewalls as a lot easier to manage but I had an edge router lying around so thought id use it
ОтветитьGreat vid. I have 2 ER-X's behind CG-NAT and would like to do site-to-site over IPv6. Pretty much everything on my 2 LAN's does IPv6. To do a similar setup to the vid over IPv6, where you use 10.0.0.x/30, do I just generate a ULA prefix and assign ::1 and ::2 from say a /124 subnet?
And then... how do I route IPv4 between the 2 LAN's over IPv6, for any devices that can't do v6?
hi there i'm trying connect to my wireguard server from the cloud to my edgerouter is the same configure as this?
ОтветитьHow much faster is IPSEC compared to wireguard?
ОтветитьI tried the Configuration with 3 erx devices , 1 er4 device , changes the firmware to V1 and V2 on all devices. It works like a charm , i reboot devices on bothe end and tunel goes up in seconds. This happens for 2-3 days and then for some reason everything stops working , i cant ping devices. After some reboots and some times after aplying the configuration again even if it says that the configuration allready exist, the tunel comes back up. For me it doesnt work !!!
ОтветитьI use dynamic DNS with IPsec between and ER-4 and ER-X both are on latest firmware.
ОтветитьFantastic Video, Thank you, Can you please do a video showing how to do the same but using tailscale as my friend and I would like to setup out own VPN link but our ISPs double NAT our connections so we don't have public IP addresses and DynDNS and NoIP dont work. Thank you in advance.
ОтветитьYou don't really need to backup public keys. Private key is enough. Saving configuration through GUI saves the location of the wg.key file.
Otherwise very good video!
Thanks for making the CLI text big in your video. Much easier to read and follow.
