Yep, too many elephants. But they still took my elephant skin belt, made from an elephant that died naturally on a reserve.
ОтветитьI hope they don't knock down all the beer tents.
ОтветитьSend them to me i will gladly accept them
ОтветитьI don’t know why, but something like this is just intrinsically funny to me.
ОтветитьSome other countries may want some elephants. Im not sure how it would help Botswana though because the animals will just keep breeding.
ОтветитьI have no respect for trophy hunters. They are malignant narcissists.
ОтветитьTourism accounts for 20% of Botswana's economy. Much of that tourism is safari tourism--people want to visit wild areas to see wildlife, particularly elephants.
Rather than encouraging more tourism to Botswana by highlighting it has the largest elephant population in the world, the President of Botswana appears to be giving the finger to international efforts to increase ethical tourism.
Sustainable practices happen on the ground, ensuring safe corridors for both elephants and humans. Sustainable practices include reforestation efforts, and localized intensified farming to reduce human/elephant conflict. Rather than viewing elephants as a 'problem', they are a precious resource that could help ensure economic security for Botswana.
Botswana is another ***thole country... The elephants are more important than most of the people
ОтветитьYou have literally ruined your country. Disappointing.
ОтветитьThere used to be over 5 million elephants in the 1970s but now 1/3 of elephants (130,000 in Botswana) of the worlds -/+ 390,000 total is considered too much and justifying trophy hunting. 😢
ОтветитьJust sell them all to Texas
ОтветитьNice play sir
ОтветитьSo botswana wants to give Germany an army's worth of the world's second largest land based herbivore, right behind, you guessed it, another elephant. Maybe rethink it a bit??
ОтветитьI have 50acres of land in NovaScotia, Canada..
ill take 50 🐘 please..
Do they like the winter at all,, im no expert.. yet..!!
No no so the population not getting bigger
ОтветитьSend them to Mexico. The southern border of the United States of America no longer exists. They could enter the US as easy as fentanyl.
ОтветитьAs an australian i completely understand what it is like to have an over population of animals that turn into pest(kangaroos and emus) but the rest of the world see the animals in a different way with out any experience with them
ОтветитьBring the elephants to tanzania they’ll fit in the serengeti
ОтветитьDang reporter beat me to the "elephant in the room" pun
ОтветитьThey should send them to areas where they’ve gone extinct locally, or they could start a Pleistocene rewinding project starting off with smaller enclosures and move on from there
Ответить… so can i buy one?
ОтветитьI'm sure that Gretta Thunberg would be happy to house and feed 200 of them at her place. Now there is only 19,800 that need a new home.
ОтветитьDeal with it.
ОтветитьYou know,I’d like to see that !😂
ОтветитьThese elephants are refugees I wouldn't mind in my country. I like animals. Humans? Not so much.
ОтветитьDeclare them to be religious and economic refugees and they'll have to accept them!
ОтветитьGet all the environmental folks to pay damages for Botswana.
Ответитьenvironmetalist are NOT environmentalist they are the ones who throw trash everywhere leave all the lights on
ОтветитьBasically he is saying he can’t handle one of the most majestic creatures on earth! Failure at its finest! He admitted he is a failure to his people and to the animals and wants to unload his issues on others countries! Being with so much tech and availability on trade he’s telling u he is not fit to lead a country especially when the animal is more intelligent then a leader! He shamed himself and his country
ОтветитьIn Kenya on honeymoon our guide complained constantly about the overpopulation of elephants and the damage they caused. He wanted to lead hunters. I don't understand the mentality of trophy hunting though. It's literally like walking into a safari park enclosure and shooting an animal. There's no skill required. I understand the skills required to track, find and kill something like deer or antelope which can then be eaten but driving up to a heard of giraffe and elephants seems like something fat millionaires would do to make them feel big and powerful.
Ответитьthey would trample all over the solar panels . they would push over the wind turbines.
ОтветитьYou've got a surplus of a threatened animal and you can't think of another way to profit off that? No wonder the country is poor lol
ОтветитьEmotional people will never be more qualified than a trained game biologist
ОтветитьBut Germany gets cold & snows. That's Mean.!!😪🥶😕
ОтветитьIt’s a tuff thing, I’m a hunter, but i wouldn’t hunt an elephant, but I also wouldn’t stop someone from hunting them. I think there a intelligent animal and there’s not many animals in there ecosystem that can control there population besides humans.
ОтветитьElephant steak for dinner?
ОтветитьPeople forget “conservation” means to keep them at a healthy stable population even elephants can be a problem or even invasive species given there are too many.
ОтветитьSend them to the US!
ОтветитьClassic response to virtue signalling
ОтветитьIt is like you want to ban abortion but you don't want to adopt the kid.
ОтветитьJust tell the Germans the elephants practice Judaism. Then they'll stop caring about the hunting.
ОтветитьIf the so called environmentalist think hunting is cruel then apparently they have not watched an elephant or any other animal slowly starve to death due to overpopulation. Of course I doubt they would care.
ОтветитьClassic non common sense SJW white saviour mentality
ОтветитьBotswana couldn't even scrape up the money for the freight cost.....corrupt mofo's
ОтветитьSend it..
ОтветитьToo many do gooders, not knowing what theyre talking about.
ОтветитьThis is the dumbest threat i’ve ever heard.. how exactly is Botswana gonna do that?
ОтветитьPeople who only grew up in the city and were brainwashed by Disney movies will never understand what it’s like to deal with wild animals.
ОтветитьThis will upset people but I can sorta see his point. If there is a thriving population in that country how is hunnting them any different than hunnting deer. Both are said to be done for population control. That being said I don't really like the idea of elephant's being hunted but like I said I sorta see his point. Please don't hate me to much for my comment thank you.
