If you want an excel sheet with v10 manual coupe R8 sales over the past 18 months, let me know. Collected manually over time.

Great video again! Would love to see an accompanying website with a dashboard of these price indexes by car

Some car makers are talking about maintaining shorter supply after the chip shortage, so it will be interesting to see what the others do and how that affects values of certain brands... Hoping my R8 GT keeps going in the right direction 😁

The pre-facelift manuals are a deal right now. Mileage might have something to do with lag in price compared to auto but there are so few on market, rarity supports price increase and people are prob holding onto them for a reason.

Can you do one of these for the E55/E63s AMGs? The wagon in particular seems to be skyrocketing.

I’m happy I bought my 2014 manual R8 V8 in October 2020 with 20,000 km below. It was the best investment I made in the last year. Plus I got to enjoy it unlike my stocks that dropped in value.

Based on R8 pricing tracking the used car market generally, would you wait on buying an R8 now until the used car market returns to normal, or do you see this upward trend continuing? At some point, people who buy used cars will be left holding the bag, and for an R8 that could be a $20k drop (or more).

The early V8s have a rather high individual variety. Since the autos where a costly extra at the time, the manuals can be either enthusiast speced gems or "give me the cheapest thing you got" cars. I have never seen an auto as cheaply speced out as some of the manuals I've seen. And at least where I live, poorly speced ones chamge owners almost 3 times as often as nice ones do, so the gap in condition is still increasing.

Will the R8 be a future classic?
