Endwalker Final Duty Theme "Endwalker" - FFXIV OST

I'll just point out that the Japanese version of his speech is wonderful, the "Isn't that so, adventurer ?" The inflection on it truly brings out the "You look down on me, but deep down aren't we doing this for the same reason? The pleasure of experiences?"

Seeing my lala give this wide faced smirk followed by a fist fight was unbelievably hype. I wish there was a way to fight him again(besides NG+)

That freaking fist fight when I was already hype with the music and the whole fight in general was willlld.

I love how much the lines tell about our WoL's. Agreeing with him, being pragmatic, or just wanting to strangle the man (I picked the third one)

I realized that that it's not just Zenos and the WoL who had fun it is us as well. It isn't just the way we fight but tye way we are taught things about others, but also ourselves because the way they both fought was in the moment very enjoyable and how we the player witness the whole thing want to enjoy the sensation because that is how we are. We played the game not knowing what night happen but it was enjoyable, even other games have that sensation where we want to explore the unknown and enjoy it for what it is. This scene and this theme lead us to this moment where we know everything is fleeting but want to enjoy it to the end and that is something most can't deny since we all would want to enjoy things that we know will soon leave us.

My personal story was that i was playing it with my partners watching me so they could experience it too. (though they were already into the game because of me by this point) i had gone in with a delay so when i was getting Akh morned it was playing the Heavensward part. It was so unbelievably cool. what a great fucking ending to a great expansion of a great game.

Man when I first met Zeno's I thought he was just a bloodthirsty psychopath who just wanted a good fight it made me wonder why people think he was the best villain because there are a whole lot of villains like him then I played endwaker fought him then I understood because he wasn't just the wols archenemy he also understood the wol out of all his enemy's (I played as a guy) and actually encouraged him to act selfish.

One of the best video game music ever that is comparable with “Bury the Light(DMC5)” and “It Has To Be This Way(MGR)” for me.

This one moment and the moment when you summon help to fight Emet are the only 2 moments in this game where I felt true emotion.

ALSO WHY TF CANT I REPLAY THIS WITHOUT GOING TO NG+?!?!?

this not being replayable outside NG+ is a crime

I just beat Endwalker yesterday, and this was definitely my favorite part of the entire journey.

Also, bonus points because it was scythe vs. scythe.

The scrap at the end is iconic. Whoever was like "fuck the weapons, let them finish it with a good old fashioned punching match" needs a raise

This has been my go-to video while working out for like a year. Nothing kicks in the muscle hype like a badass fight scene with only OST

I will forever stan for Zenos, I love villains that are reflections of the hero!

I don't like Zenos at all. He might be one of the worst villains ever, especially when compared to the stellar content in FF14. "Mufufu, I'm so EVIL, I killed everyone just because I can, mufufu. Want to be my FRIIIIIIIEND?" I actually refused to fight and left him there for some days, teleported away. I only came back begrudingly because you can't see the ending with kicking his butt. He's lucky the music slaps so hard.

One nice detail I absolutely love about this fight is that, at the start of almost every major boss fight or trial (save a few exceptions such as Elidibus in Seat of Sacrifice), the 'fade-to-white' happens simultaneously while zooming in on the boss you are fighting whereas in this fight you get fade perfectly split between the WoL and Zenos.

Man im late as hell but i just got here and i need to say that after the final trail someone just spammed "A TEST OF YOUR REFLEXES!" in the chat, i knew so little lol

My only regret is i can only play through endwalker for the first time once. It remains atop my greatest experiences in gaming history list. Ive been playing video games almost 3 decades and this was in top 5 of them all. The music. The emotion. The storytelling and character growth. Absolute perfection.

No, Zenos. I did not find fulfillment.

Zenos broke the 4th wall here. He spoke directly to the player behind the WoL.

The fight that will stick with me to the end of days, i played through endwalker live during a medical hardship, it's a playthrough i wont ever forget thanks to my ex free company and my significant other who watched the whole thing

Both of these solo duties in Endwalker I wish there was a hard mode. Both of them were too easy for who they were meant to be... especially with Zenos as the final boss of the game. All we can hope is the ultimate fight does them justice

Endwalker saved Zenos character for me. Hated him in Stormblood, Endwalker made me see that he was more than the surface level villain.
RIP Zenos, My friend.

Zenos’s entire character snapped into focus in Garlemald after Elpis. He is a foil to us. As the WoL, our reasons are selfless and noble. His are purely selfish, always. But as an adventurer we share that dream to take on ever greater challenges. We get up to so much trouble voluntarily looking for more things to see, more things to do. After facilitating us in saving the universe he earns his fight. I was happy to meet him where he was.

Hopefully when we inevitably find a shard of Zenos out there we can be true friends.

Would love this fight if devs found a way To be like ability unlock job change combat

After months of watching the trailer on repeat, I never thought we'd get the full track in game.

This made me jump for joy lol. The emotions at this point were just hyped af. After that last trial, and then this? A fight with Zenos, with the trailer music?

It was an amazing feeling. Wish I could go back and do it for the first time again

This entire sequence here, this culmination of every thing Zenos has ever done, has ever been as a character, is, in my opinion, the greatest in the history of gaming. You and your greatest enemy, the man who, despite you having just saved all of existence, still sees you as the same adventurer he met at the beginning of Stormblood, finally being able to fight each other with the utmost limit of your strength, to truly be able to burn the candle of your life and just let loose. It's reminiscent of the "World of Cardboard" scene from the old Justice League cartoon, but it's so much more than that. There's so many raw emotions in this scene, and it feels like the developers are talking to you the player as much as Zenos is talking to you the Warrior of Light. It's beautiful, and thinking about it never fails to make me cry. Endwalker is the greatest achievement of storytelling in gaming, hands down.

i dont care what anyone says. zenos is alive somewhere. we need our fight-sexual.

fun fact: its confirmed that zenos sent us back to the ragnarok. zenos is goated.

This is the "Save Slot to fight THAT boss" moment we all wished could have.

The thing that Zenos and the WoL are just having a final fist fight blew my mind which made this one of the best main story finals

Seeing zenos in a fistfight with a catgirl is really fuckin funny

I am so glad there is an option to tell zenos that your sick of him cuz I was I WAS SO SICK OF HIM BEING A FUCKIN YANDERE AND DAMN NEAR CAUSING THE END OF THE WORLD JUST FOR A FUCKING FIGHT.

The only real crime of this fight is there is no way to experience it again unless you do NG+. This game really needs a way to replay solo duties.

Man, I still remember when Stormblood came out and Zenos got introduced, being disappointed in like, "We're never giving him his 1 v 1 huh? It's gonna be a party or full party fight..."
But then it happens. The 1v1 rematch.

The way the music synced up with his second phase is just too perfect. Everything about this fight and this song is so perfect it makes me want to pick up the game despite all my gripes with it and the genre in general. It's meaning and it's depth, what it means to the characters themselves, everything leading up to it, it's built up so well (from my limited knowledge) and I just love it. I have the most basic understanding of it ever and yet I could go on about it endlessly regardless. This is literally peak fiction.
