The reason Alex was so nonchalant is because she always felt like she wasn't good enough so didn't bother trying. But her heart was more pure than Justin's. When she did good, it wasn't for approval or appreciation but what she thought was right.

The parents should have been actual parents and told their son to get over it and stop embarrassing himself and his sister at the award show. I would have flipped my lid if one of my kids purposely tried to ruin a public event celebrating my other child.

Why is everyone hating on Justin? Sure he has his bad moments but so does Alex and he has helped her a lot of times.

I really wish that when they thought they lost the wizard competition because they had to help Zeke and Harper and everyone blamed Alex for it that there was a scene where Zeke called Justin out for caring more about getting wizard powers than two people's lives

Alex is actually a good person better than Justin like she would risk being a wizard for those she cares about like her boyfriend and even risk the wizard competition to save her friends harper and Zeke but Justin didn't care and when thinking they lost the competition to when they saved their friends Justin and max blamed Alex got angry even though later saving the friends and leaving competition was a test that was part of the wizard competition and they passed because of Alex .
Alex was always the right person,she does a lot of good cus it's the right thing, Justin always wants something in return, Alex better with magic she learns well from her mistakes she has a heart, max is dumb and other things, Justin studies a lot but that's it nothing there.
Alex was always number one the other never had a chance

Everyone pretending as they wouldn't be jealous of their baby sibling who doesn't work hard for anything implying that he/she just that much more gifted even tho you do everything he/she doesn't and have to work extremely hard to even be able to learn magic.
Sibling rivalry is a thing btw shocker 😮 anyone who is an older sibling will feel some kind of way when the Youngest who doesn't try out does them.

Despite all that he admits he's extremely proud of her so stop pretending you guys stand above siblings rivalry unless you don't have one then i completely understand.

Justin is the worst Disney brother!

I think in the movie they showed how Justin's ego is bigger than he wants people to know. He wanted to be the one that saves the family while Alex only cared about saving them. She might get in trouble but they showed how deeply she cared. In the final arcs of the show Alex selflessness and empathy blossomed while Justin went to a negative arc. In the angels arc and towards the end it became clear that Justin is the one that actually has dark and selfish tendencies while trying to appear correct. Alex actually cares and ends up acting for others while having fun and relaxing. I guess they showed that evil and good can be found regarless of appearences. Justin showed the worst of himself and in the end of the show I personally believed that he finally realised that he didn't deserved to be the wizard of the family and admitted defeat to Alex. It's funny how Alex even in the special Alex vs Alex still admits that she's figuring thinks out and still growing after having personal growth in the whole series but Justin despite ending with a clear academic/work path still has to make the personal growth that Alex went through.

Let’s not forget that Harper and Zeke got kidnapped by the Griffin, and Alex knew the risk of losing their magic and still decided to save her friends. Justin got really mad when Alex dictate to save them than staying the on competition.

Also the episode where he didn’t believe Alex and thought she joined forces with Stevie to destroy the wizard competition and Harper was the only one who believed her.

I have always hated Justin, a self-righteous, hypocritical, egotistical idiot.

Alex is no sant sure, but he ends up causing more damage then he thinks, and is also really annoying.
Examples:

-He ignorantly turns in his girlfriend vampire family to monster hunters.
-When Stevie printed all his posters in the principal room, the face posters refused to turn her in, because she said she will vote him.
- He talks about the importance of keeping their magic a secret, yet he was the one who revealed it first, plus at the trial your copy testified against you putting your whole family at risk.

As for saving Wiz Tech twice, it was all Alex in the end.
First time he was used.
Second time, the threat wasn't done Alex stopped it

I’m disappointed about Justin’s arc. Alex can use magic naturally without trying so hard. Justin studies hard and that’s how he’s great with magic. I’ll say that if I lost a competition after studying so hard, I’d be upset. On the bright side, he got to keep his powers so he should have a positive attitude. I would definitely be proud of Alex

people are only seeing one side bc of tiktok but imagine working really damn hard all your life and people bullying you and making fun of your goals and interests only for someone who doesn’t work at all to outshine you and get the things you want/get made fun of for. justin puts in the work time and time again and alex always gets the reward. not saying he’s always right but i understand where he’s coming from or why he’s sometimes bitter
