I was sitting in the entrance of an after hours club in Dallas taking the $3. cover charge. Bands loved to come play with other bands after they finished their jobs. IKE Turner came in and didn't want to pay. The owner of the club gave this instruction. The only musician you can let in without a cover charge is Ray Sharpe, nobody else.
IKE was very cruel. Kept insisting l was a fool, obvious did not know who he was. Refused to pay the $3. He looked like he was going to hit me, and obviously thought l was ignorant for not giving in to the one and only Ike Turner. Cheapskate!

When you're just as masculine as your man.. All hell breaks loose, on top of Tina being an extrovert and Ike, Introvert. If they could only understand their differences and respect them.. It would have been a different story!
