Never thought to use the shadow hills on the bus for the drums….really adds a 3D effect as well…..have you ever chosen different channel strips for different instruments? And if so….how does that seem to work for you.
ОтветитьGreat, thanks for that Joe, I think I am getting it now, one thing with all these virtual channel strips, what is the optimal signal you feed them all averages? I am guessing as its based on analog, your at -18db? and I noticed the meters are green up to 12, is that your maximum, it gets confusing with the VU input verse the dBu output scales and what you feed into it gain-wise, so that affects the compressor and harmonic distortion stuff in there, It feels like sometimes you just use the force and hope for the best, but I have always wondered what the input signal should be db wise (I also just average RMS too)
ОтветитьI ve learned so much watching Joe Carrell's videos. Thanks Joe and Plugin Alliance
ОтветитьThose tracks are recorded awesome...
ОтветитьGreat video! I’ll be using some of these techniques.
You should zoom in on the SSL when making moves so it’s easier to see what’s being adjusted. I don’t really need to see the channels when making moves.
Joe is about good results, FAST. He's the man.
ОтветитьHi Joe! Thank you for an amazing tutorial! I’d like to say that this is an extraordinary drum recording. Is there a chance that you could share some info about that recording session, which room, mics and positions? Thank you very much in advance!
ОтветитьWhat a nice man
ОтветитьJoe can you do a video on setting up the “channels” in the console for a template. It’s not really clear in the docs that I can find. Also what the ABCD at the top references. These plugins are detailed. On an analog board you are wiring physically the channels which is easier to grasp the concept. Cheers!
ОтветитьExcellent Tutorial by Joe Carrell :)
ОтветитьRecently discovered Joe’s vids and living them. Btw how can we download the shadow hills preset he mentions?
ОтветитьAwesome tutorial!!
ОтветитьWow!
ОтветитьWhy would you fill in music while Joe Carell is talking? it's a an audio plugin software you're trying to promote and not a washing machine. That horrible "library" music in between kept on resetting my ears! Dreadful creative decesion of an outstanding product.
ОтветитьGreat demo. Direct, brief, and straight to the point. Nice job!
Ответитьexcellent video! thank you! This 9000J is incredible!
ОтветитьLOLed at the "blah blah" slo mo part
ОтветитьJoe Carell really knows what he is doing. Great Video. Fun to watch.
ОтветитьI love it!
ОтветитьI tried the demo for this plugin earlier this week. I could see myself using this over the 4000E on certain songs. I'll watch out for a sale and might be getting it.
ОтветитьBrainworx's awesome! Use it together with my UAD stuff... ooooOoooh... amazing.
ОтветитьGood evening / morning Joe Carrell, I'm building a SSLJ9000 Logic template, trying to emulate that sound. I was wondering if the master Buss should have the SSLJ9000 on it? Please advised here thank you
ОтветитьJoe you are excellent at this.
ОтветитьExcellent 👍
ОтветитьI just came from the Waves SSL video. Brainworx is unmatched
Ответитьi dont eq tracks in iso unless i hear a glaring problem
however, i suppose that mixing mostly nashville pop means that you will do very similar things with every track in most tunes, anyways.
Fantastic tutorial! Thank you. Would love more from him.
ОтветитьJC is the man, so pleasant to watch and listen
ОтветитьThanks for the video, but please remove the elevator's music behind your voice next time, it's really hard to focus on what you say and what you play.
