I've been playing bass for 2 years and THIS video was my starting place, I thank you so much Luke. I remember the day that I watched this video and played Seven Nation Army to my friends on discord...
Ответитьwhere are the bits of track to play along to?
Ответитьactually sweet child of mine does have a pretty iconic bass melody at the beginning after slash starts playing that arpeggio thing.
ОтветитьToo much talking
ОтветитьCan you write these for a 5?
Ответитьit didnt impress...
ОтветитьI just picked up a bass a couple of days ago. I had played guitat before, and i ended up improvising 7 nations on accident, so learning the actual thing was cool even tho i like my improvisation
ОтветитьOk...I struggled trying to follow. I thought this was for beginners...not intermediate players. Seems like the tabs are upside down. If you're gonna start off with tabs then start off with tabs...you're switching back and forth to notes and then to tab. Very hard for a beginner to follow. I tried doing it the whole video and can't follow. Thanks for your time
ОтветитьThis was great. I don't even play a bass. It would've been neat tho to play the song first and give us a chance to guess the song :)
ОтветитьWhat mean TAB?
ОтветитьLuke:
Great stuff. Love your site. Please demonstrate and tab out Jon Mcvie bass solo behind the lead Buckingham solo in "Dreams." Thnx. Gino
LUKE, I've been a member for quite sometime. Love your site. Please demonstrate and tab out the bass lick at the end of "God Blessed Texas" by Li`l Texas. Thnx, Rck On! Dr Gino
Ответитьlove the videos, they have helped so much! What would help a beginner like me is possibly highlighting the notes as you play them and show them to us? just a suggestion. thank you for your content!
ОтветитьSin subtitulos por favor
ОтветитьI was able to pick up seven nation army in the course of two nights. Probably the first song I've gotten anything resembling decent at. Anything with sixteenth notes or rapid distant shifts on the fretboard sends me absolutely insane since I just can't keep up without going horrifyingly slow.
ОтветитьI'm a drummer just starting to get into bass, that feeling of others saying "IDK what song that is?" happens for drummers too
ОтветитьI was trying to learn that funky bass line from the Leon Haywood song "I Wanna Do Something Freaky To You" which many of you know today as "Nothin' But A G Thang" by Dre and Snoop. It requires more technique than I posses. This was much more suited to my ability, Thanks mate.
editors note: I was able to put the bassline together in under 10 minutes. Ideal starting bassline for beginners like me.
Honestly you could just play that epic bass solo from “break the chain” by Fleetwood Mac
ОтветитьThis is the only channel about learning bass that i will watch
ОтветитьThanks you bro
ОтветитьTabs are backwards
ОтветитьI love listening to the bass line in all songs
ОтветитьI'm a drummer who likes plinking on the bass. It's a blast just shaking the whole house.
ОтветитьI have 40+ years playin bass and I support this video. Great place for beginning bass players.
ОтветитьWatch; he won’t mention my city was gone…
ОтветитьI tried starting with the Seinfeld theme... damn its way harder than it sounds.
ОтветитьBefore i watch this, if Billie Jean isnt in this vid, it should be
ОтветитьJFC, actual playing doesn't begin until after 2 min?? Stop being trash, man. Gtfo with all that
ОтветитьWhat brand and model of bass is he playing?
ОтветитьWhat bass you playing there?
ОтветитьThis bad thanks
ОтветитьBass players are literally the same as support mains in gaming
ОтветитьSkip ahead 2minutes to get to some actual playing.
Ответитьthe video is helping ne a lot but I can't do the one from the queens cause I think there is a note missing
ОтветитьI know this will be hard... But I'm determinated to learn bass!
ОтветитьI know at least one song , which is sll about the bass😁 "Dawn Patrol" by Megadeth. Starting to learn bass from today, and this is the first song I wanna play, followed by "Black no. 1" by Type O Negative 🤟
However, these licks are also definitely iconic
luke, i really like the sound of your bass, tight and bassy. are you using what kind of peddles to achieve this sound. thank you
ОтветитьThank you !
ОтветитьI don't play bass
Ответитьwhether its correct or not, there is a (probably) easier way of playing seven nation army. on just 1 string (a string) just go like "7-7-10-7-5-3-2" saying its easier cause its on 1 string on easy to find notes
Ответитьtoooo much talking
ОтветитьMy go to to impress riff is Play That Funky Music by Wild Cherry 👍🏼
ОтветитьWay too much talking in the beginning just just playing
ОтветитьPls bro..make a tutorial the song Celebrate by Lake
ОтветитьAs usual 90% talking and 10% playing.
ОтветитьWith the NHS, you'd think Brits would have prettier teeth.
ОтветитьThanks very much Luke! That's exactly what many bass starting people me included are looking for. Only concern: the notes on display are very hard to recognize against the background. Q: is it possible to have a white background on the note line for easy reading. Big thanks again :-)
ОтветитьMan that Bass is sexy af!😍 And I don't even have a bass.. yet 😏
