Amazing work. I really appreciate you for the detailed video.
ОтветитьYou missed mentioning the MKV container, but the video turned out excellent.
ОтветитьThanks a lot for such an amazing explanation
ОтветитьMan, I miss seeing 3GP video.
Ответитьextraordinary! i finally understood this one big mess...
ОтветитьComprehensive and clearly explaind ! Well done !!!
ОтветитьI just wanna be able to burn mp4 vids to disk and my mom watch on her tv lol. But that dvd player is toast, and can't seem to find one that will play them now. Been through 4 so far. pulls up the menu but not supported formats. can only get like 3 videos when convert to dvd. so much for 50 vids on 1 disk ugh... just venting, thanks, great video
ОтветитьThanks

ОтветитьWhich format are free streaming site videos utilizing?
ОтветитьThank you!
ОтветитьHi ,is it worthy to compress videos in zip rar 7z etc file type to save space?
Ответитьi need a bottle of aspirin
ОтветитьThats some cool information thank you so much 👍
Ответитьexcellent survey of video formats. who knew how they were made?
ОтветитьThis is the best video on formats and codecs I’ve ever seen! It’s so clear and concise. I now have a WAY better understanding on the subject. I’m saving it a a reference to whenever I have questions or need a refresher. Thank you SO much!
ОтветитьThanks for this I have had a reasonable understanding of the codecs and codecs I have been using. This has broadened my understanding.
ОтветитьThe truth is in the "orginal days" of video there where true Raw no extension or since u want to use an excuse to call it a codec with a container ..which its just another extension for mpegs. There is no True RAW. Amiga CLassic/OS prior to 2001 could read True Raw and mpeg 18. with the CDTV circa 1986 ,and cd32 circa 1990, also. No extension/codec needed. Also, thetrue 48bit Amiga toaster.. pc=apple true 8bit. use this codec making via extension dumbed down video making worthless new cameras. So its no wonder .things get screwed up,and they do. It was simpler when there was no standard. YOu didnt need one it was TRUE RAW ..just copy ,and edit. Then produce. Amiga Vision . The way it should be,.
ОтветитьI despirately needed this video as an editer. Watching this all of my doubts cleared about export settings of my project while rendering for different uses.
Thanks a lot. 😊😊
Demystified. Thank you 😊😊
ОтветитьGreat stuff Chris as always.
I've watched this video five or more times
I watched it again today as a refresher course.
Keith
I hope you got your thanks I sent you the other day.
Loved this! I (mostly) understand digital audio, but this was the BEST video I've seen describing digital video. 👍😊👍
ОтветитьThe same is kind of true for image formats. For example, TIFF is a container that may have an image with a JPEG compression, uncompressed etc.
ОтветитьMKV is a nice container. And it's one of the most commons. But not in this video. They actually show MXF containers, which I have never seen in my long life. MOV is also a very rare container. It is used by people who use Apple computers. A small minority worldwide.
ОтветитьBrilliant information mate!!! Thank you very much indeed.
Ответитьlol wht do you mean rather then a file type?.......so video doesnt come in file type anymore........so my videos now are all named . nothing and not .mkv . avi . mp4..........omg i was looking at this all wrong , i really thought file extensions matter now they dont........apparently........seriously ....are you stoned?
Ответитьwheres the incredible popular mkv or avi?.....i ask because most of the extensions you mention our computers will play right our of the box (not mkv).....the others ones do not so thats where ppl have a prob.
Ответитьuhh. Brov. Your killin' me here! The very moment I think I have a fairly firm grasp on tech, you find the Proverbial "rug" to rip from underneath my feet! Thank you 1000 times for, again, educating an old fart like me. At the same time... Piss off Brov! ;) Hope you found a modicum of humor there. Love and Respect... Mostly noted, the later. :)
PS. ...and I hope to see you again...... veee ..ry soon! :)
👍
ОтветитьNice video thank you for this amazing information ❤❤
ОтветитьVery informative. Thanks to you & your entire Team sir.
Ответитьi learnt something today
Ответитьhow can you be certain its an image file? if ive changed the file extension and editted file code (open a file {file meaning jpg, mpg, exe, etc etc} in note book or word pad)
ОтветитьVery informative, thank you !!!
ОтветитьSorry but you left many other formats without a comment like h263, flv, vp6 vp8, vp9 and wm9.
And two old important containers which are .flv flash video file and .wmv which is windows media video file.
This was beautifully done. more information and explanation than i have seen about formats, containers etc in forever. Thank you so much!
ОтветитьGreat explanation, but really it has just confused me even more. I've been editing video for over 20 years and never understood it much. Until a year or so back I didn't even know there was codecs and containers. I thought was was just different codec like avi, or mpeg, mp4, ,mov, etc and they had different compression. For years now I have been using H,264 I had no idea they fit in a container.
Question: is mkv a container or codecs?
Wow! :)
ОтветитьSurprised that MKV container was never mentioned....
ОтветитьThis was such a great and clear lesson. Thank you!
ОтветитьWhat about MKV?
ОтветитьMkv?
ОтветитьNot gonna lie, this information was very useful in understanding the various formats my video editor can spit out.
Now I know H.264 / MP4 format is the best combo for online uploads.
Thanks!
this is it thanks man
ОтветитьI love these videos. It has that no nonsense, let's get on with it approach so reminiscent of teaching computer tv programmes in the 80's
ОтветитьI am sure you have helped many people with this video. Thank you 👍
ОтветитьThanks for the clear explanation of digital video , i just wanted to know what codecs and containers SDI video contains can you explain ?
Ответить
