My paternal grandfather, my mother's dad was in the Indian Army and fought in the Indo-Pak war aka the Kargil War from the Gorkha(Nepali) regiment. A real Army man would never ask for special treatment in fact they give up more than anyone could.I would also like to thank all the army wives mothers who sacrificed so that their husband/son can serve the country

Well here is the truth of "heroism"
I belong to subcontinent and my grandfather fought world war 2 and became POW in Singapore for 5 years.
Whose hero was he??
Britain's?? Our invader's?

These all soldiers are basically prisoners of their govts.
They fight without any ideology.
These are not heros, these are slaves of the system

I mean you can appreciate them for their good war skills, but sacrifice?? For whom??
Companies who make business by manufacturing weapons??

When was the last time US was invaded by another country and their army saved the borders???
So how do you say they protect "your country"

Infact rest of the world needs their own army who protects them from "your heros"

Why did these all went to Afghanistan to be attacked and to be sacrificed??
Had hear of freedom fighters not what kind of freedom were these looking for in other corner of the world.
