I always tell advertisers 16x9 or 4x3. Everything else is point of diminished return and I charge extra for ignorance. There is not one piece of marketing research showing shape of video matters to consumers. Marketers need to know there is no advantage to resizing with these "4 pixels taller" aspect ratios bullshit. Stick with 2, rape their wallets for the rest.

When I'm taking a video with my iPhone it's just one aspect. But when I tried to edit it to a smaller size the image was distorted and stretched. What am I doing wrong?

one question is, can you change aspect ratios of a recorded video...i.e. to make the best for Facebook and then change it for Instagram. On my phone I can only change resolution, not the aspect ratio of a video post recording?
