I think I was at Nant Peris when those two climbers were brought down safely. If it wasn't them, then it was another two people. I have the ultimate respect for what you Coastguard Air Assistance rescuers do for us. Thank- you.

Why did the helicopter come all the way from St Athan (Cardiff) instead of RAF Valley on Anglesey?

Crag fast. The bane of the unprepared and inexperienced.

I don’t understand why non experienced climbers try this route!

They froze and just couldn't move anymore, panic attack and you're done.

I spent weeks preparing before I attempted Crib Goch. I watched videos and planned my route meticulously. My son and I were happy to turn around at any point should we have felt out of our depth.
I wasn’t concerned about the knife edge just the initial scramble and the pinnacles.
On walking out on the knife edge I became very uneasy, conditions were perfect with no wind and just a few wisps of cloud, however I felt shit-scared. I don’t really think anything can prepare you for how exposed you can feel up there. I made it across like a crab and was happy when we made the pinnacles.
What surprised me was the scrambling after crib goch up to crib y Ddysgl, quite difficult in places.
A place not to be underestimated for sure.
