It’s enjoyable to watch and learn from your videos. Thank you Dean.
ОтветитьDean loves green 😅
ОтветитьЧто у вас за смазка используется в приборе?😊
ОтветитьAvocado green
ОтветитьIs it possible to replace the nylon gear with a metal one?
ОтветитьConsider that the plastic gear may be used so it strips out if you get a finger or other body part stuck in the mixer. Better to fix a few dollar part than a trip to the ER
ОтветитьNice work Dean, love your video work.
I've been a mechanic for 55. Yrs. The very first machine I ever worked on when I was about 10yrs old was one of these and it was that gear! It was my mum's machine.
You brought some very strong memories back for me, thank you.
Pretty cool man!
ОтветитьMy old one broke like this ages ago. Fixed it a long time ago and gave it to my parents
ОтветитьPicked up an artisan that wouldnr turn off for free. Turns out it must have fallen over cause the speed lever was bent down at the knob, all i had to do was hold down on rhe top of the motor and pull up on rhw knob with my other hand really hard i was able to figure out the problem by using my mom's heavy duty kitchenaid as a reference. I even changed the grease in rhe beater mech with new mac1 racing grease
ОтветитьThey were decently made in the USA back in the day. Not anymore, Made in China 😮
ОтветитьHow did you get it so clean? Did you use any cleaning products? Thanks for the informative video. 👍
ОтветитьThanks for the informative video. My wife has an identical mixer ( except for color ), to the one you feature. She has used it for years but I know the end will come. Now I know what to do when it does.
ОтветитьI've seen that failure before, very common. They are great mixers, unfortunately they have to at least make something fail so you buy another. If you make great appliances that don't fail or last too long you can't make any money that's the end game in consumerism.
ОтветитьYou are a good Protestant Christian who knows about a sacrificial part. 🙂👊👍
ОтветитьJob well done!
ОтветитьMy Kitchen aid mixer was in storage for 25 years, it wouldn't run, turned out the the brushes were stuck and had corrosion where it had sat at the commutator. Once that was corrected, it worked fine, I went through the governor speed adjustment and put new grease in it.
ОтветитьThanks for the education on how to fix the KitchenAid. I truly learned something that I did not know. And you just proved that we are part of a throwaway society that was a simple repair and it makes perfect sense that that gear would be plastic so that it would break first before the rest.
ОтветитьI really like this mixer…..fabulous green! Thx for the video. Very informative.
ОтветитьUnd das ist die Gute und teure Küchenhilfe? Was ein Schrott.
ОтветитьI get those syringes from the common phaarmacy
ОтветитьWhen my five quart kitchen aid had the same problem they sent me a new one with a metal gear
ОтветитьLike the content! Glad you came back with "foodgrade" . Oh, love your accent. Enjoyed.
ОтветитьGlad to know it's not a big deal if or when my wife's gear strips...her mixer gear!!
Ответить🤔🤔🤔Well,i think replacement gear bush is made of Aluminum and old one was Steel????
ОтветитьNice informative video. I’m glad he mentioned using food safe gear grease. Using the proper grease is actually very important. I once learned this repairing gears on a commercial kitchen grinder and used gear oil. It was too light weight and ended up seeping into the motor bearings and seizing them.
ОтветитьBella riparazione anche io ho cominciato come riparatore in assistenza elettrodomestici braun krupps 40 anni fa capitava anche all epoca ma i materiali erano molto piu robusti di oggi❤❤
Ответить👍
ОтветитьHello, please can you send the link or address of place where you bought the gear.
Thank you
KitchenAid Mixers - one of the worst pieces of junk ever produced.
ОтветитьMuy mala la maquina plástico
ОтветитьGR8T job iNtErEsTiNg & satisfying... thank you. Cheers from So.CA.USA 3rd House On the Right.
ОтветитьWhere get parts?
ОтветитьWhoops it’s filmed in phone mode
ОтветитьSo much grease. Not saying it’s not necessary but my instinct would be to use a tiny fraction of that as surely it just flings off to the casing.
ОтветитьThat is cool my friend.
£👍🙏💪🇺🇸
That machine was designed to fail otherwise it would have metal gears
ОтветитьVVS
ОтветитьPiñones de plástico ya les bale, baja calidad de maquina.
ОтветитьAnd yet they claim all metal construction. KitchenAid went downhill since being manufactured by Whirlpool corporation.
ОтветитьA very informative and well shot video, exceptionally well done. Thank you for your effort and time!
ОтветитьThank you for the very helpful video!
ОтветитьQuestion: why have a sacrificial part to save the motor should a jam occur instead of a racheting mechanism like in a drill gearbox/chuck? When it jams then the racheting mechanism engages and an audible sound is made to alert the user of jamming. No sacrificial part needed, no burnt out motor on jamming.
Considering how expensive some of these appliances are surely they can adapt a similar mechanism from a drill gearbox?
The wife definitely takes priority. Happy Wife, happy life. 😂
ОтветитьMy wife said I should get her a marital aid, when I came home with one of these she wasn't best pleased! Just no helping some people
ОтветитьGreat video, but not necessary to remove brushes unless they are worn.
ОтветитьWhat a crappy design for such an expensive product. Designed ageing as its finest, sadly.
ОтветитьGood video Dean. Nice to see you repairing something completely different from the norm.
ОтветитьCan you show were the other washers go? Not the 2 for plastic gear
Ответитьthank you very much for your tutorial it allowed me to repair my machine
