So just to understand are they planning to close the closed- work permits or it’s official. For example, if you applied for a LMIA based extension in March, 2024 would there be a decision as a rejected or is there a time line that starting june they will no longer issue closed permits.

People well qualified already as citizens do not have jobs, but giving work permits to people from other countries. How is that justified? There are lots and lots of well qualified and highly qualified people already here who are unemployed and aging. No one cares. Revenue Canada must have enough info about them through their tax returns.

Finally I'm citizen a single mother with two kids i still not found job because too much temporary workers nothing for citizen.

Well...its hilarious they act AFTER the fact ..wasn't it obvious that the ratio of humans : accommodation should in some way correspond ? REALLY?

This is good news because 98% of LMIA granted have not been working, they just give them permit and bring them to Canada but no work

Too little too late, besides, it’s just more empty lip service to pacify the masses.

So, the Cooper institute, whatever it is (I’m not familiar with it), suggests the government to end the closed work permit program and, instead, offer PR to those closed work permit immigrants.
I still don’t understand why some people who claim to be Canadian citizen think that’s a better option.
I mean, they say those temporary workers are “stealing” their job positions. 
If that’s true, then why would it be better to give the migrants the permanent residency? Won’t they still need work to live in the country?
Am I missing something?
Also, I don’t think people should be given the PR or citizenship right away, even though I want and I’m trying to become a PR.
They (we) should have at least one year work experience in the country. And I don’t know why they (we) are not required to show interest in local culture assimilation by volunteering to socially neighbourhood activities for at least 6 months. Maybe because all or most of the immigration requirements envolve personal finances expenses such as visa applications, local college degrees and language proficiency exams; not including other expenses related to living and surviving in the country.

Even though I'm not Canadian myself, I understand some of the thoughts of many Canadian citizens regarding work opportunities being given to foreign workers.
Well, as in all or almost all human activities, some sort of corruption is always possible and that’s not ok.
But, citizens must also understand that they do not deserve a job position in a Canadian company just because they’re Canadian citizen. It’s about supply and demand and merit. At least, it should be.
If a citizen is not qualified, and there’s a qualified foreigner available to do the job, then why would the company reject that foreign worker? It should not.
And the citizen should improve his knowledge and skills to become qualified for the position.
Sometimes, it seems to me that employers choose a foreigner staff instead of a Canadian one because the “stranger” is way more hard working and willing to learn than the Canadian one who either complains a lot about the job or shows him/her self to be lazy.
Still, I think there should be more personal and social incentives to make citizens more excited and wishful to acquire new professional skills.
At the same time, there should also be some work opportunities for good foreigners who wish to immigrate to the country without forcing them to resort to legal loopholes.
