Understanding The FATE SERIES by Gigguk...

I don't understand why yall don't get it when it's simple and intuitive. Just start with "Fate/Stay Night" and then go to "Fate/Apocrypha" and then "Fate/Grand Orther" (FGO) First Order and you decide whether you want to go to "FGO Camelot" 1 and 2 then "FGO Babylonya" and then "FGO Solomon" OR "Fate/prototype" ( and The Garden of Sinners 1 to 8, but you don't have to watch them) which takes you to "Fate/Zero" which is a sequel to the first season which takes you to "Fate/Strange Fake" or "Lord El Millor 2 Case Files" so "Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works" (UBW) (which takes you to the events in "Fate/Apocrypha") or starts "Fate/Heavens Feel" (FHF). But to really watch it without any spoilers, you need to rewatch "Fate/Stay Night", go to "Fate Extra" and then go to "Fate/Last Encore" to go to "Fate Exterllo" to "Fate exterllo Link" OR from "Fate Extra", go to "Fate Extra CCC" which brings for you to "Fate Extra CCC Fox Tail". RIGHT AFTER the CCC events you can, without spoilers, go to "FHF Presage Flower", then "FHF Lost Butterfly" so "FHF Spring Song" (which also brings you to the events in "Fate/Apocrypha"). You can now rewatch "Fate/Stay Night" again to start "Fate/Hollow Ataraxia", read "Carnival Phantasm" and/or "Fate/Kailed Liner Prisma Illya" (KLP) for "KLP 2wei!", "KLP2wei! Herz!" and "KLP 3rei!" OR "KLP Oatha Under Snow" Additionally, FGO brings to: Fuyuki, Orleam, septem, Okeanos, London and Pluribus, but you don't really need them. There are some spinoffs and paths that I don't know about, so I won't specify, but I know they exist. SIMPLE, RIGHT??

The two possible starting points are Fate Stay Night: Unlimited Blade works(2011) and Fate/Zero. Flip a coin and watch one, the rest can be watched in pretty much any order now that you're invested.

Honestly - just watch Fate Zero. Only Fate Zero - you will get all the experiences that Fate franchise can possibly provide. That's it.
It is the most high-quality one, without any children characters in the plot at all.

It doesn't matter if you watch first Fate/Zero or Stay Night UBW... both series are great and you could say that they are the main ones and the rest you can watch after these two ;p Both are peak.

to be fair it did start out normallys with fate/stay night the ero visual novel. then the anime adaptations happened it got popular then fate/zero came out as a prequel. honestly just play the vis novel first the deen adaptation is meh. the ufo table adaptations go way too hard and I would say they are the best. timeline wise it goes fate/ zero fate/stay night fate ubw fate heavens feel.

Or just call them by their hero names and stop with surnames ... Like king arthur, Mordred, Nero Claudius ... it's WAYYYY easier

See this is why i DO NOT reccomend The Monogatari series(My favorite anime franchise) TO ANYBODY! If you wanna start Chronologically that's fine but if your start from air date that shit is so disjointed. Also it's so japanese all the jokes and puns will more so annoy people.

Honestly its not that confusing a franchise people like gigguk just like overcomplicate for views and comedy. Its a multiverse with with a few different timelines. Start with the 2000s version of fate stay night. after that unlimited blade works which is route 2, then the third route is heavens feel which is a 3 movie deal. Then you can do fate zero. Apocrypha is an alternate history, Encore is its own thing related to the video games. Fate grand order is also another thing separated from the main series.

People really like to over complicate the fate watch order, it aint that confusing as the majority are just all spinoffs from different universes that u dont have to watch if u dont want too, you can just watch the main trilogy and grand order

Don't stress it, it doesn't matter.

watch prisma illyia its a great show even with no knowledge of fate. you dont need to understand the lore to enjoy the show and you learn most of it whist watching the different shows anyway. there is no right order to watch this crap. you can even start with fate stay night abridged if you want its all equally confusing so just treat it like a roller coaster and enjoy the ride even if you dont understand it.

Just start at fate zero>fate stay night (unlimited blade works) > fate heavens feel (movie 1,2,3)

Fate zero is the prequel and is the good introduction to fate series

Fate stay night is the sequel after the events of fate zero

Heavens feels is consist of 3 movies is all order

Originaly fate is a visual novel with 3 possible routes or ending

And each and one of the series from fate zero, fate stay night and faye heavems feel are all the 3 possibles routes

It all depends on what you prefer ending

Fate zero is Saber's ending
Fate stay night is Rin and shirou's ending
Fate Heavens feel is Sakura and Shirou's ending

Fate Zero —> Unlimited Blade Works (Ufotable). It's simple

Zero doesn't really spoil much at all. There is more content you can touch on if you're interested in seeing more of Fate but those two are pretty much everything you need to watch.

My personal recommendation is to watch those two and then the Heaven's Feel movie trilogy, which is my personal favorite piece of content Fate has.
