My problem with souls clones is the mechanic where the resources are gone everytime i die. I love the difficulty. Dying over and over again never frustrates me, but losing progress is always disheartening.
ОтветитьThe games soundtrack is insane man, I hope they make a third installment of the series
Ответить3 years later and I just discovered that you didn't talk about that there's now an English and Japanese dub.
ОтветитьThis game is goated 💯
ОтветитьI hate to be that guy but I’m thinking of picking this up for my PS4 knowing I’ve never played a nioh game I was wondering if it’s hard cause I have difficulty playing very hard games
ОтветитьTo me just like Nioh 1 , Nioh 2 is very repetitive in both enemies and types of maps. The only upside was the difficulty. It's too bad I really wanted to like it.
ОтветитьAwesome review, man!
ОтветитьNioh 2 is the best game of all time
ОтветитьShoutout to the devs for somehow finding a way to not make the combat stale and repetitive, even after 200+ hours spreat over both Nioh 1 and Nioh 2
In Nioh, finishing NG only means beating the tutorial, the game really shines on the higher difficulties, which are also the most fun to play in both games
All in all, I pray that we someday get to see a Nioh 3
I fucking love Nioh 2
ОтветитьNioh 2 is a good idea with a bad execution. This isn't a get good game.
It's super armor. It's grapple spam. It's a confusing maze where everything looks the same all the time.
Most Yokai either hit way too hard, or have insane amounts of health for what they are. Nioh 2 wants you to do all this fancy stuff, but given how Yokai just shrug off damage and attack you outright, don't bother taking the combo punish route.
Nioh 2 sucks and it's free on PS+ right now.
I got nioh one for £3.99 and I got nioh 2 for £6 so I got both since they where such good prices
ОтветитьShould i get this or ghost of Tsushima?
Ответитьthis game is goated
ОтветитьJust finished it up to the Dream of the Strong (I don't have enough money for DLC so that's as far I'll get). My experience was pretty much miserable at first because of the learning curve then immensely enjoyed it once I have a build I had decided to use for the entirety of the game and finally got bored by the farming and tedious upgrading process at the end (they should seriously make upgrading equipment to +10 more convenient and quick). My opinion on its gameplay is that the mechanics are great but the combat feels less fulfilling. That's because the fight boils down to who could stunlock you to death first, especially in the later parts. If the fight doesn't go into stunlocking competition then it will only revert back to hit and dodge tactics which wastes the potential for combos in which Nioh 2 specializes at in my opinion. At that point, you are just playing it like a souls game. Which is why I still prefer Sekiro's combat (even if it's gameplay is less complex compared to Nioh 2) since the fights there still feels like a fight for me.
ОтветитьI’m ashamed to have believed the first reviews when the game first came out. I played Nioh 1 when it came out but not Nioh 2. So glad you convinced me otherwise.
ОтветитьI’m playing n2-remastered
It’s fkn good
Been playing Nioh 2 this month because it was a free game on ps plus. I should've bought this instead of some garbage games I bought like Cyberpunk. One of the best games ever. It has everything I need from a game. It reminds me beautiful games like Onimusha mixed with Dark Souls and Monter Hunter. I love Team Ninja. I've been playing Tecmo games since NES. Please support them. They deserve more.
ОтветитьLOVE this series.
ОтветитьI don't like this f ing game 🤬
ОтветитьAny chance we can get the damn wiki going soon?
ОтветитьIt's a day 1 buy?
I waited a few years and got the special edition including ALL DLC for $25. Day 1 buy, huh? Maybe for SUCKERS! LOL
Nioh 2is amazing
ОтветитьNioh 2 is awesome but the grind is REAL in th end game. Even more than Nioh 1.
ОтветитьThis is my first soulslike game so it took me a while to get the hang of how to play (and dying a LOT). But once you get into the rhythm of the combat and feel more comfortable with it, it really is very fluid and all of the weapons are fun. Adding in the ability to hulk-out into your demon form is a great addition and feels like evening the odds a bit.
My main complaint is that it doesn't tell you as much as it needs to. E.g. when you pick up some loot and in the stats for the loot there will often be a stat with a symbol next to it, but the game doesn't tell you what those symbols mean, so I had to hunt around online which took longer than if the game just bothered to explain it's own systems to you. I get that it doesn't want to spoonfeed you, but how am I supposed to guess what the little hexagon shape next to an item stat means? And there is a LOT of loot to sift through so the game really needed to be a lot clearer about the systems, if only to save you time! That feels very lazy.
Graphics, story, gameplay, level design, enemy design, setting, etc. are all top notch and I was hooked in the world almost instantly. But if you're a newcomer to this type of game like me, be prepared to do a couple of hours of research on tips for beginners, etc. before you even start... That made it feel unwelcoming at first, which is a real shame.
This game is far better then fromsoft games imo. Elden ring became elden chore and the inventory and combat are as bad as ever. Nioh 2 rocks in multiplayer connection, gameplay, combat, controls and skills that actually make a difference. This game is just awesome, go get it.
Ответитьalso I don't know how we got so lucky to get games like Nioh, Sekiro Shadows Die Twice, Ghost of Tsushima and Nioh 2 all within the span of 3 years, but I'm so thankful for it
ОтветитьI find that a great and timeless art style and a focus on framerate makes a game age better in my opinion
ОтветитьShit i thought i would be sub 500k
ОтветитьFor me it puts sekiro to shame
ОтветитьProbably weird timing since Elden Ring is out soon, but I literally just bought this game a few days ago... I am really enjoying it so far 🙂
ОтветитьMy question is there an option to turn off the damage points numbers?
ОтветитьSometimes I come back to watch this review just to feel something
ОтветитьYup playing at 120fps on ps5! So smooth
ОтветитьI can't believe that they still have the 2017 graphics that were already dated in 2017. Why didn't they use a newer engine? Graphics really look like sh*t, what a shame in 2020
Ответитьgreat review until you said and wrote the word addicting, listening to that word is like hearing a prick talking too loud on a phone saying words like ASAP and chillax, it's fkn nausiating.
such a late fail in an otherwise great review.
my thoughts on the game are similar only I hate the way games like this provide you with huge sharp blades then as you've swiped through an enemy for the hundredth time they finally fall over in one piece, for a developer to pay such attention to detail and then miss that obvious mistake in physics is something that has and continues to annoy me.
I love this game, at the beginning it may feel overwhelming, but give it a chance! 175 hours in, just unlocked Dream of the Nioh Underworld!
ОтветитьI really hate the way this guy pronounces Koei Tecmo....
ОтветитьHey fex do ya have a discord server
ОтветитьWhen I first started playing )right after a sekiro play through) I did think the graphics were bad. But after spending time playing I barely noticed and it’s a great game with some neat ideas.
Ответитьyou mis pronounced ninjutsu
ОтветитьMy only problem is that I can only beat the game twice on one character
Ответитьi love this game!!! i just wish it wasn’t so hard
ОтветитьJust beat the first one, time for round 2.
ОтветитьMy only regret is waiting so long to start playing this
ОтветитьI’m watching this review for the first time after playing hundreds of hours of Nioh 2. Definitely surprised at how much I loved this game as I never really liked the first one. Definitely my game of the year last year.
