I bought the same machine but mine makes a lot of humming sound when sitting idle. It seems to be coming from the motherboard fan.
Does your machine do that as well?

Help! My new machine etched directly to the bottom base.. I used the triangle prisms at first but the laser itself kept shifting the wood piece..?

I have just got the same machine and have been playing around with mostly wine glasses. I have found if you go to from mm to inches then back to mm the laser height setting has to be readjusted. At least it seems right now.
I have a cutting board that turned out good that I am doing finishing on that will take a few days.

Just fyi this is a terrible product don’t buy it!!!! You have to add air assist and it just doesn’t work right yet. It’s still in beta testing. Not worth the 1000 bucks

I looked at getting one of those for indoor use. They’re so cute!! I have a 40w laser and a 100w laser so I don’t really need another one lol 😂 but for just engraving, I do like it. ❤ I don’t think I it will cut any of my files but if you want me to send you a DIY kit to try out, let me know!! I have been a craft buddy for 3 years. I remember being so excited because you had Finn and I was pregnant with my 1st, also a boy.
