A person with 6 certificates and zero hands on has no value in front of someone with hands on experience and no certificates...I always like to be under the second category I don't even tell people upfront what I know, if they ask for my skills I prefer to work on a project and let my work tell stories of what I am capable of...in corporate world, talking too much lands you into a lot of expectations and ultimately when you aren't able to cope up with those expectations, you end up last in every race.
