Organised crime in high places destroyed our industries inc MG Rover.
ОтветитьRaro que esten las luces encendidas si esta abandonada eso no existiria...
Ответитьgood work - a sad loss to this historic car manufacturer 😞
Ответитьever got in to the old ww2 tunnels underneath the rover tunnels? i went down them in 2007 and it was incredible
ОтветитьFantastic video thanks for posting as a massive Mg Rover fan it's sad to see it all abandoned
ОтветитьThere’s something quite haunting about this
Ответитьwhere is this located?
ОтветитьI worked there for 16 years think about that place every day I feel really sad for all the workers that lost there jobs there I still blame bmw for what happened and the consortium who run of with all the money hope they rot in hell
ОтветитьI remember coming here years ago to collect a mg tf as production stopped I was driving a single car transporter and will never forget a grave yard full of cars, dealer returns still had there stickers on
ОтветитьPile of junk cars ,not worth anything before and after this MG Rover plant was shut down. Leyland/ Morris all together in one scrap heap .Good riddance 👏
ОтветитьFresh oil still on the floor
ОтветитьMG TF 😍😍😍😍😭😭😭😭
ОтветитьFantastic video lads, loads of atmosphere. Loved the spray halls they looked like something from the USS Enterprise.. Many thanks 👍
ОтветитьWhen you say that's where they spray the cars it's actually where they dry the paint on the cars. The heat to dry the body's came from gas burners supplied by a company called Eclipse Combustion based in Worcestershire. I think they are now owned by Honeywell. I did service work on them burners in that area you were in many years ago. The reason you can tell it's not the place where they get sprayed is the total lack of over spray. Way to clean. The spray area was covered in hundreds of layers of paint. All different colours and looked a complete mess. Before the spray area they would pass through a selection of acid baths that would completely dip the whole body of the car to remove any contaminates. It was an interesting place but compared to other car manufacturing plants I worked at it was a joke. You would constantly find brand new cars parked on site that had the keys in them. But had just been forgotten about.
ОтветитьUnable to understand half of what these guys were saying! Is that a Longbridge accent?
ОтветитьAnd a brand new Chassis , wtf...
ОтветитьWow still mg bunpers laying there
ОтветитьThose abandoned cars need new lifes
ОтветитьCan only understand about one word in three this guy is saying. Terrible speaker. They should sell the place as a location for sci-fi movies.
ОтветитьHow is this possible? Everyone can just walk and take entire cars and nobody doing this?
ОтветитьThe orange cars near end are the MG roadster, mk3.
The nearby + unshown Rover-75 factory is virtually new.!
...as it was the rover 25 factory that was emptied, not the r75.
Great video guys
ОтветитьDamn, if knew you were going in there, I would have asked you to get a spare muffler for my old MG...
ОтветитьRemember that hit “check it out now”? It always reminded me of an advertising slogan -
“Check it out now, MG Rover, check it out now, MG Rover”
As always independent British business groups or companies can’t keep up in production with big businesses and companies like Dacia or Renault or other bigger more popular car makers but yes so sad to see hundreds of jobs lost just because they can’t make cars in the uk anymore
ОтветитьDon't worry. Tata now owns Rover Marque through JLR acquisition. I am sure they will revive this brand. If Nissan can revive datsun brand so does Tata can revive Rover.
ОтветитьIt's a shame most urbex videos at Longbridge are made by stupid teenagers who have no understanding of what MG Rover actually was.
ОтветитьDid I miss how you got the lights on...why is there still power there ?
ОтветитьBritish Leyland and bloody Michael Edwards. What a tosser. Do I need to say more?!
ОтветитьSort a q?? Daughter??
ОтветитьIf people were not so image conscious & hellebent on having the latest Vw or Audi to swan about in (that they’ve never payed for) then perhaps the British car industry would be in better shape.
ОтветитьFinally British car industry has come to an end. Even the Chevrolet Spark and Suzuki Alto is better than Rover, This says it all.
Ответитьive done LOADS of urbex explore but NEVER with a torch 😮 its bad enough dodging alsations without tipping of the guards where we were! We got chased to the fence of an old printing works once and only JUST got over the fence, these 2 MASSIVE guard dogs were like drooling and snarling ready to eat our balls! 😞
ОтветитьWow 😍😍😍
ОтветитьThe policy was was quicker we get the bad workmanship and crap cars out the front door the quicker they'll have come back to buy another one.
ОтветитьSuch a shame but the blame should be on the unions
ОтветитьGreat video guys... Question for everyone on here: Why the Security?
ОтветитьThose mgf shells could of been sold off I'm sure there's someone out there probably looking for one
ОтветитьClass vid
ОтветитьBetrayed.
ОтветитьWhat a waste
ОтветитьAre you sure it's abandoned, they might be on strike again
ОтветитьMad to think they just left it to rot and didn't do anything to the left overs! Could of used the site for other stuff by now! Where is ot
ОтветитьI work at jaguar in castle brom and all this just looks normal but with the lights turned off haha.
ОтветитьHow much still remains of the factory now?
Ответить
