Loved the 80's.

Well I agree with The Dukes of Hazzard, Night Rider and the A Team. Mash is clearly a 70's show. I would add Air Wolf, V the series, and most importantly He-man and the Masters of the Universe, GIJoe a Great American Hero, The Transformers and Thundercats. The last four are probably the most fondly remembered shows of that decade!

Hi greetings from Portugal :) , Here we watched these shows to, and all people watched the same shows, because we had only two TV channesl that time :) . I loved also "V Final Battle" and "Captain Power and the soldiers of the Future".

Kind of felt like the list was a little all over the place had some classic shows like night rider and Macgyver loose to some show that we kind of forgot about and then kind of got it together again toward the end but I wish growing pains made it. Full house and family matters would have been good too.

How can you have a Top 20 Best TV Shows Of The 80's and NOT have Diff'rent Strokes or 21 Jump Street on this list? Diff'rent Strokes was one of the Most Famous shows of all time, especially during the 80's. The Cultural Impact that Diff'rent Strokes had during that time was BIG, and it was highly entertaining and a Very Funny show. Then there's 21 Jump Street which right now I feel it is a Very Underrated show since its not on this list as well. 21 Jump Street made a pretty Big Impact too, even tho it came out in April of 1987 which is close towards the end of the decade; it was really famous for its time and it is the reason why Johnny Depp became a Major Superstar. After this series ended Johnny Depp continued on with his Movie career and became one of the Greatest Actors of all time. With that said I also feel that some of the Best Classic episodes 21 Jump Street had contained some of Johnny Depp's Best performances of his Acting Career. Even up to par with his Best performances on some of his Classic films. When it comes to crime shows or TV series about police officers for me 21 Jump Street was the best one during the 80's. So yes I will pick 21 Jump Street over Miami Vice, Hill Street Blues, or any other Cop show during that time. Shit, I rather watch 21 Jump Street than the show COPS which happens to show Real police officers arresting criminals in Real Life.

Where is T.J. Hooker, Simon & Simon. The Fall Guy, The Greatest American Hero, Chips, Hardcastle & Mccormick & Riptide? In my opinion, Action, Adventure, Detective Shows ruled the 80's. And some shows on the list really belong on the 70's list.

Quantum Leap (well, actually late 80s/early 90s, but it was a great show)

Maybe making a list of the top 40 shows of the 80s would be a better representation of what TV was all about during that decade and what people loved.

Although it’s hard to narrow down the top 10 shows of the 80s, some of those were suspicious. Definitely, one person’s personal opinion…not ratings or viewership. If those were apart, Full House (as cheesy as it was) would be on there; the Cosby Show; and Growing Pains. All I can say is DID I DO THAT?! How rude! You got it dude!

Remington Steele made the list but The Cosby Show didn't? As a matter of fact, you didn't list a single series (with the slight exception of the A Team) where there was a minority lead.

I remember most of them but my favorits shown here would be knight Rider and A team as well as Airwolf that wasn´t shown here. Another funny show from the 80s was ALF the alien.

Great time to be alive. Plus, the V TV series. Really miss the 80's & 90's. Remember when there was just one TV in the house? Even if you had more than one the best one was in the living room. It's over though.
