So if a show comes on tv tonight, is it available on max tonight as well? Aka "live"?

I had HBO from my provider. i also have a Roku with the MAX app. The app is useless, so I dropped HBO. There is a HBO series I want to see in September so I might get the subscription back just for the season of the show. Then I'll cancel HBO again.

Cancelling discovery + because they don't offer early access to anything anymore. I checked out Max and it took 1 night to figure out it sucks just as bad.

I have to say that I like that there is an episode description button now. That drove me crazy on HBO Max.

Issues with this app every since they forced the update to the point I want cancel my service. Call them a week ago and they said there is going to be an update to fix the issue. Ive had to try again and go back over and over again to try to play a movie, sometimes nearly 20 times to get something to play. They will surely have no problem charging me and all the other people that have issues.

This app doesn’t work properly at all on roku. It never saves my info, never follows episodes I’ve watched or am currently watching. I can’t toggle subtitles on and off anymore.
I mean what in gods name are they doing over there? It’s copy and paste programming code and they still screwed it up.

PUT IT BACK PLEASE I absolutely hate the new way they have us search things I’ve been stuck so many times and cannot figure out how to watch the show I want to watch it keep saying “sorry we don’t have that here” when I literally watched the show 5 min before

I can't watch any Studio Ghibli movie in japanese anymore! I really prefer watching the movies in the original audio and now i cant unless i pay for it from some where else. I'll have to pay to watch the movie in japanese audio now instead of watching it from Max where is already getting payed for monthly! A week ago i could watch these movies in japanese in HboMax. So dumb

I’m still mad that they haven’t put The Corner on HBO streaming or the app. I do have it on DVD but would rather just stream it.

Batman 89 was upgraded to 4K DV but the audio got downgraded to 2.0 Channels on my LG G3 😂 hopefully it's fixed soon cuz it's also extremely low volume

There thing was the app is smoother. On playstation the entire apps resolution is downscaled. You can see the drastic difference from the home screen to the app. I feel like im watching on a wii 😂

I liked HBO max on Apple TV but max not much. I find the have copied Disney/ Netflix too much it looks almost the same now ..sadly . They have removed a option to watch a movie trailer in a lot of its films that was there before with HBO max and when you use to touch the touch pad on the Apple Remote you would get the word season and episode on the screen if a show was on, now it’s a big S and E like Netflix and Disney all small things that mead HBO max different now it’s the same as all the other streaming apps .
But I have to say max is faster then the HBO max app.

I downloaded a new Max app on my game console instead of updating the existing app. Should have done that. Now, BOTH app icons are up, though HBO Max is a husk. That is annoying. Automatic updates across devices should have been the norm, though David Zaslav did roll out the Max app much more smoothly than his predecessors at the top rolled out HBO Max. Maybe, a system update down the road will erase the HBO Max icon facade. Either way, it’s overall more interesting to me than I am annoyed by it.

New to HBOmax/max aps so forgive me if this is a silly question. Does this app allow me to watch LIVE channels or is this all on demand content? If its just on demand when am I able to watch new episodes of my shows on Discovery, HGTV, Magnolia, etc?

So you show that is doesn’t have content 5 or 10 years old… does this mean unsolved mysteries aren’t merged over ? That such a popular show. Tf

I can't say I like the set up. I liked the old set up more, like how the movies in TMC were listed onto genres making it easy if you just wanted to look at international films or dramas you now have to just go through every film.

if u can make your cam smaller it would be better i think.
